Seeking Dermatologist in Arlington, TX

Does anyone out there know/recommend a dermatologist in Arlington that will actually sit down and listen to what you say rather than rush in and out and treat symptoms instead of trying to find out what is causing the problem? I've been to two, one in Arlington and one in Grand Prairie and feel like I'm being run through a cattle chute or something. Seems as if all they want to do is sell me products from their office and/or prescribe things that I know from experience don't work, but they don't listen when I try and tell them. Thanks for helping.

What can I do next?

Dr. Dudley Goetz at 1000 W Randol Mill Rd in Arlington ROCKS!!! He spends so much time listening to you in the exam room that you will actually have a bit of a wait in the waiting room. I love him, I wish he was my GP!!!

I am very happy with Dr. Mary Adams, Arlington Dermatology, ###-###-####. She takes her time with me and I don't ever have a long wait in the lobby or in the exam room.

I don't have a recommendation, but appreciate your posting the question! I wonder if we have the same doctor. My dermatologist is in Arlington, and I feel the exact same way about it - even if I come in with no problems that I'm aware of, I'm invariably given a prescription for something (and they insist I can't have the generic version), or they insist on selling me something directly from their office. Drives me crazy!

Dr David Hensley-- the office is pretty busy but he's really personable and actually sits down in the room and listens to you. I already have an appointment at his new office on Arbrook. It's the same building that Solis Women's Center is in, by Costco. And he's great with kids too!

Dr Nguyen at Dr. Mullanax's offices at the corner of I-20 and Matlock. ###-###-####. I have had some very minor issues and some very major skin cancer issues involving several types of complicated surgery on my face. He did what he could do himself and then sent me to the best specialists for things he thought someone else could do with less scarring (these are major issues involving hospital surgeries) and everyone worked with my insurance (Aetna HMO). I can't say enough good things about him and the scars are barely noticeable. He is a young doctor but is very caring and always listens to me. His nurse Gayle is great, too. Very sweet.
