I'm new to the area and just got new dental insurance which allows me to go to Southern Dental, Monarch Dental, or GMS Centers of Dental Excellence. Has anyone been to any of those and can tell me more about them to make a better decision? Also do any of them do Pediatric Dental?

What can I do next?

I have heard nothing but bad experiences with these types of dental institutions. They really messed up my mother-in-law's teeth and she ended up going to our dentist. You might be able to go for just a simple cleaning but if they tell you that you need any work done I would go to a private dentist. It will probably save you more in the long run. My mother-in-law ended up spending $5000.00 to get hers fixed!

I found a GREAT pedia dentist- Regina Lewis. She is on Fallbrook off of 1960 by Cy-Fair hospital. I LOVE HER. As for you... I have a similar dental plan as yours. I went to the Castle Dental on IH-10 & Fry road and had a HORRIBLE experience. Long story short, I spent well over $1000 for a FILING... well, he screwed up and I had to have a root canal. And now I'm scared to death to go to the dentist! I go to Southern Dental in the fountains (off of 59) only when I absolutely have to go to the dentist.

Do not go to Monarch Dental at First Colony Mall in Sugar Land, they are terrible!

L.,
Be very careful with the clinics. They try to do unnecesary
work. They told my brother that he had 14 cavities. I was a Dental Assistant for 7yrs. and I know how to read a Dental x-ray. He didn't need the work done. Too bad you can't use a individual dentist.

Good luck,
J.
