My fifteen month old son started walking about a month ago and I'm looking to purchase some new shoes for him. He is still a little stiff and wobbly while walking and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good soft shoe for new walkers. I'm also wondering if anyone has any suggestions on good places to purchase toddler shoes in the Sacramento area, either new or used. Thanks for all of your help.

We uses Stride Rite 'stages' from the ____@____.com just found they have a outlet @ FOLSOM PREMIUM OUTLETS ... I don't know if they have the same measuring or customer service though.

H.,
Stride Rite has "stages". There is one in Arden and Sunrise Mall. I do also agree with Robeez. Babies R Us also has Koala Kids that are the same as Robeez just cheaper.

Goodluck!

Bare foot whenever you can is best, but definitely Robeez or similar for when you want him in a shoe. Babies R Us is the only place I found them in the area. They weren't Robeez, but were much cheaper, only $12 and worked great! We stuck with the soft sole shoe until he was two and ready for a sneaker.

Ok i did both robeez and stride rite. The robeez for in the house and outside in our yard. But i wanted something hard sole for when we go out so thats when i did the stride rite. However they are expensive. But i just waited until they had a sale and got 2 for the price of one. When your in the house let him go around bare foot it really is the best thing for his development of his feet.

I highly recommend Stride Rite. They sell soft leather shoes with flexible soles in many different styles. You should be able to find a store in Sacramento. Try the mall. My boys were in them as soon as they began standing and I would use them again if I dare have more children.
