I have some chronic health problems (Crohn's disease) and am trying to get pregnant and I would like to try acupuncture. Can anyone recommend a therapist? I like in Lakeview and would like to find someone not too far away.

I was unable to concieve for 7 years, I had 6 failed IVF cycles, too many IUI's and clomind cycles to count, 2 surgeries for endometriosis and then I started seeing MPF. And guess what - I am the very proud mother of a 5 month old daughter conceived naturally!

I see Kenji Aoki, I see him in riverwoods but I think that he has an office in Hyde Park.
He is great, he uses Japanese acupuncture and believes in having balance in your body. He has helped me get pregnant once and I just started acupuncture again to try and have another baby. The first time I saw him about three years ago he was treating 5 women for infertility and I just found out that 4 of us got pregnant, it's great to walk in the office and see the pictures of the babies.
Trying to get pregnant is stessfull and I really think that acupuncture helps.

Dr. Jody Speckman is in Lakeview at Lincoln and Roscoe. I went to her for acupuncture and Chinese herbs both times I got pregnant: in my 40's both times. She is a Naprapath and studied acupuncture in China. She knows a lot about nutritional healing. If you don't know anything about Naprapaths, you can ask her. I think they only practice in Europe and in Illinois.
Jody accepts some insurance and her fees are very reasonable.

If you're willing to go to the 'burbs, Heartwood in Evanston has a couple of acupuncturists that work specifically with women (prenatal, fertility, induction, etc.) I like Terri Clemens there. Also, there is a woman Julie Segal (Segall) in Highland Park. . .
My acupuncturist is Robert Wallace at Chicago Holistic Medicine.
I love him and trust him whole heartedly. I have digestive problems that he has basically gotten rid of.
I also have worked with him on my depression, which also has been virtually non-existent since I started with him.
