Hi Mom,
I am looking for a good preschool program for my 3 year old son. I thought I already had one lined up in a preschool program that was just opening up in the fall. I received notice just a day ago that it is no longer opening. So, now I am left with no place to put my son and I am worried that all programs will be full. Can anyone help?!!! I live in the Westchase area. I would prefer not to have drive too far.

Thanks for your help.

my little boy just started land of learning (yellow buildings on Sheldon)a week ago. and i am very happy with it. he will be three in may and has never been in a structured setting. so it was a big change for the both of us. they were very warm and under standing did not mind if i called 2 times a day they would go and check on him. and give me a full report. yesterday was his third day and he went in with out crying.

We live in the Countryway area and have been very pleased with Wesley Early Learning Center (WELC)located on Memorial Highway. Takes us only 10 mins to get there in the AM - they have wonderful teachers and a great program. They accept all denominations thought it is Christian based. Both my 4 and 6 year old sons have attended there and still do for the Pre-K 4 program which the state pays for! My children have been loved, nurtured and have learned much there. We have tried two other pre-schools and have still gone back to WELC (I work part time in downtown Clearwater so tried 2 preschools in Clearwater area).

I started my son at Primavera Preschool two weeks ago. I love them, they are very friendly and incredibly helpful. It is an incredibly warm and friendly environment. They are expensive, but once I visited the less expensive ones I understood why! I did not like Kids-R-Kids or Land of Learning, but that was just my opinion. There was no waiting list for my son but he is only 22 months, I don't know about the 3 year olds. Hope this helps and good luck!

My children have gone to the JCC preschool (and summer camp) for 4 years. We love it there and it has been a great experience for my children in every way. The are located on Gunn Hwy, right near the Citrus Park Mall, just east of the Veterans Expwy. The JCC is the Jewish Community Center, but if you are not Jewish, you will be more than welcome there. About 50% of the children are not Jewish. It's one of a very few nationally accredited preschools in the Tampa area. Good luck with your search! And if you check out the JCC, let them know that L. Benjamin referred you.
