Seeking a Good OB /GYN

I can recommend a wonderful doctor than can help you with the getting pregnant, he is in Ft. Worth, and is the best for womens wellness. Sister.....I got pregnant at 45 in the middle of peri-menopause, and it was a shock and a blessing to the max. Dr. Jospeh McWherter in Ft. Worth on Lueda Ave. ###-###-####, he is as far as Im concerned The Worlds Greatest doctor alive for women. Look him up on the web. at FemCentre. He however does not do the delivery part or see you thru the pregnancy, but he does help with the getting pregnant. I know Lantan is a distance from him, but not too bad if you take 35 to Ft. Worth. Pleas check him out and his office staff is wonderful as well. Make an appointment with him only as there are several others inhis group. He also wrote a book on Breast Cancer...he ROCKS!
The doctor that delivered our gift from God was Dr.Vaughan, he is in Keller, and he is a Christian.....in Keller on Keller Parkway ###-###-####, and he delivers at Baylor in Grapevine. Good luck and God bless. K.

I am also in the Lantana neighborhood (Crescent) and I am currently pregnant and LOVE my OB, Courtney Walters. Looks like there was another recommendation for her earlier, but I wanted to second that and say that I have heard that Baylor Grapevine is a great place to deliver a baby (I just moved here a year ago too) and if you take the back way to get to Grapevine (via 377 & 114) then it is super quick, only about 20 minutes and no traffic! Dr. Walters is a very different OB from others that I have had because she is relaxed and informative at the same time, and takes her time with you. I used Courtney Walters in Grapevine if you don't mind the drive. She delivers at Baylor Grapevine. I am a mom of 3 boys and had a miscarrige last fall and she was very compasionate. I really think she is great. Good luck. Finding an OB that you are comfortable with is a hard thing. I have several girl friends that use her.

Dr. Rebecca Collins in FLower Mound is Awesome. I have seen her for 15 years, she has helped me with 2 little boys. Next month, I am getting an IUD. SHe delievers at Lewisville medical which has a great maternity ward, and its close to Argyle.

I recommend Dr. Joseph Valenti of Caring for Women. He is wonderful physician with amazing bedside manners. He maintains his professionalism as he builds a wonderful rapport with his patients and their families. He has a great sense of humor but also manages to tells things like it is. He is very supportive of his patients and the decisions that they make. His office is right across from DRMC and his practice includes women and midwives.

I too LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Paroski at Flower Mounds Womens Health. I had several miscarriages and a very difficult preg w/ my daughter. We are pg agin with another little girl and she is still amazing!!!!!!! It has been fun watching her practice grow. All my neighbors go o her now too and they all think she is the best!

I second Dr. VanDell. He is by far the best OB I've ever had. I have had a very complicated pregnancy this go round and feel like I am in the best of care. He lives in Lantana and his office is in Parker Square. His entire staff is so great. I used one of the other doctors recommended on this board for my previous pregnancy and it was a night mare. I don't want to publicly bad mouth him by giving his name but if you want the name or story send me a private message and I'll share. There were several of us in the same childbirth class that used the same OB and all had not so great stories when it was all over. My husband was incredibly upset with this dr. and said we would not put ourselves back in that situation. I've now learned that there was a big issue with my first pregnancy that was never even looked at. God was with us.

The bad dr was recommended to me years ago by an OB nurse at the hospital. She now says she would never again recommend him because she's heard so many stories from so many people in the last couple of years. I think he's had a good reputation in the past but is burnt out.

Several of our neighbors deal with babies (do the hearing test for newborns and are OB nurses) and they love and recommend Dr. VanDell. If you prefer a woman, their is one in the practice as well, Dr. Limosneros. I've only spoken with her once but she was also recommended to me when I was looking.

My gyn/obg is WONDERFUL and he lives in your neighborhood!! :) His name is Guy VanDell and i trust my life with him!! :) He attends my church The Village in Highland Village. :) i came very close to dying and had to give birth to keep me from doing so....i had pre-eclampsia and my blood preasure was getting incredibly high and i was having mild seizures so it was time to take the baby from me; (at Lewisville Medical Center) that hospital was incredible, all the nurses were WONDERFUL. I didn't have one complaint!!! Dr VanDell's office is in Parker Square off Main street in Flower Mound and his # is ###-###-####. If you prefer a woman, he has a partner who he works with that is a woman. You can also find him on the web if you want to check out his profile and what he has...you'll be amazed. Dr. Marc Wilson is a Christian. He was such a blessing to us. His practice is faith-based. It's called OBGYN Specialists. ###-###-####. He works right next to PResby of Denton. His colleagues are Dr. Pilkington and Dr. McDonald. Dr. Fred Cummings is also a Christian. Great group of guys.

Jen, great to meet a fellow Argylian! I have lived in the Argyle area for 3 years now and love it!

I also have two kiddos - 2 boys, 14 months and 3 years and we are looking to have another little one in about a year or so ourselves.

I wanted to let you know about my OBGYN...he is great! Dr. Rick Gupta with Personal OBGYN Care Assoc. in Lewisville at 541 W. Main Ste 180 (1171 & 35). ###-###-#### His building looks a little old but it does not reflect the serve and care that he provide which is second to none. He has delivered both of my kids at Lewisville Medical Center and will definitely deliver the 3rd one.

Dr. Gupta is the first male OBGYN I have ever had and really never wanted to have male OBGYN, but gave him shot and I love him.

I am not sure if this is too far away for you or not but, North Texas Womans health center is great. They have a location in Baylor Grapvine hospital and also in Keller. I use Dr. White as well as several people I know. I also know several women who use other docs in that practice. He is an awesome Doc. As far as hospitals, I had my daughter at Baylor Grapevine and the staff and cleanliness of the hospital was well above my expectations.

Hi, J.. My OBGYN goes to my church, and is a wonderful woman/doctor/Christian. I go to Faith Lutheran in Flower Mound. Dr. Leslie Auers has offices in Lewisville and Flower Mound.
I have 2 friends in Lantana that both see Dr. Julia Flowers. They love her as well.
Dr. Auers delivers at Lewisville Medical. Dr. Flowers at Baylor Grapevine.

Both my obgyn's have been in Lewisville which is not far. Rebecca Collins delivered my first child, but for insurance reasons had to change to Andrea Galusha. Her partner Vikki Jo Allen delivered my second child. I have been pleased with each of them. Dr. Collins is soft spoken and has 2 children of her own. Dr. Galusha and Allen are located in Medical Center of L'ville which is so convenient. I had both my children at this hospital and got great care from both the delivery nurses and the NICU team. Both my sons were in the NICU for a short time. I can't say enough great things about the nurses that took care of them. The are angels in my book!!!

Dr. Rebecca Collins in Lewisville delivered all six of my grandchildren and was wonderful. I also recently starting seeing her for my yearly checkup.

I participated in the birth of my grandchildren at the request of my son-in-laws. Medical Center of Lewisville was great. Labor and delivery is all in the same suite. Quite different from when my children were born 30-40 years ago.

Dr. Van Dell is excellent. Him and his wife attend Fellowship Church in Grapevine and he lives in Lantana and his office is in Flower Mound town square. He did a wonderful job with me and my baby. Friendly and helpful staff and 3-D ultra sounds during.

I don't know what you mean by "Christian" doctor-- certainly most people here in N.Texas are Christian :) I know that there are some specialty OBGYN's who come with the title "Christian" whose patients abide by Natural Family Planning only-- no outside pregnancy prevention. But, ti doesn't sound like that is what you mean b/c you have an IUD. In any case, Dr. Reeves here in Denton has come highly recommended by several nurses-- I don't know where exactly you are... but if it is the Denton area, then Regional.

The best OB/GYN I have ever had in my life is a doctor in Denton, Texas by the name of Decarlo Noble. I am fortunate to have found him, I was seeing another doctor and was having severe female problem, he said endometriosis and to resolve this problem he suggested a total hysterectomy. I was devastated at having this procedure done at such a young age. Someone recommended Dr. Noble and he started to treat my problem and I have had no trouble since and went on to get pregnant and he delivered a health baby boy. He is kind, gentle, and knowledgeable and is on top of the latest technology and treatments.I love that he spends time to talk and explain everything to you. AND HE IS A CHRISTIAN, He worships and serve the only true and wise God. The great thing is , you don't have to guess what it means when you say Christian.He works from Presbyterian Hospital. I have recommended several people and they ALL are very pleased. Give him a try ###-###-####.

Dr Frederick Cummings! He's WONDERFUL. He has such a kind and sweet personality. He delivers at Presbyterian of Denton, right off I-35. He's wonderful. My first child was delivered by someone else and it was terrifying. My 5 month old, was delivered by Dr. Cummings. It was so peaceful and relaxed.
I was recommended to see Dr. Cummings by some very faithful people and I'd recommend him to anyone!

Dr. McDonald with OB/GYN Specialists in Denton (or any of the doctors on staff there). They are a Christian-based practice. They are all very caring and take their time to visit with you. Dr. McDonald greeted me with a hug every time I went in! If you go there you will deliver at Presbyterian in Denton, which is right next door to their office.

I go to Amy Lungren OB/GYN in Flower Mound, she is part of the Flower Mound Women's Health, LLP Across from Lifetime Fitness. She is great. Her number is ###-###-####. She is in her early 40's has 3 or 4 kids. Very personable, I have referred several of my friends to her and they fell in love. Her partner is Sylvie Paroski, she is excellent too. They specialize in obsterics, gynecology and infertility.

I love, love, love my OB. Dr. Frederick P. Cummings in Denton ###-###-####. We had a baby girl at Denton Presbyterian last Sept and had a really good experience. Everyone I spoke to about Dr. Cummings only had wonderful things to say about him. He's apparently the OB who's been practicing the longest in Denton. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Daniel McDonald and Dr. Steve Pilkington have an excellent Christian practice in Denton at the Denton Presbyterian Hospital. I had a very long, hard delivery there and had a wonderful experience in the birthing tub and suites. Both doctors are the most respectful and gentle of any OB/GYN I've been too. They really have the mother and child's best interests at heart. ###-###-####
