Ok, so I know it is safe to continue to enjoy one's $ex life during pregnancy, so long as your doctor has not placed any restrictions, which mine hasn't.

What I'm wondering, though, is are there "limitations" during pregnancy that you wouldn't normally have? I'm trying not to be too graphic here, but are there certain "activities" that are maybe off-limits? I'm not talking the basic/normal stuff, or positions so much, as maybe things that are a little more naughty... say things that vibrate? or non-vaginal exploration (I know all about not mixing vaginal with non-vaginal, but other than that, is it ok? or how about just really vigorous, passionate love-making?

I mean, is it one of those "as long as it feels comfortable, it's ok" kinda things?

Ok, so I hated typing all that, LOL, but oh well. I've asked worse. I think.

So ladies, is it ok to enjoy all the 'normal' things one might enjoy in the proverbial bedroom, as long as you have not been placed on any restriction from your doctor, and as long as it's comfortable/enjoyable for you? As with my last pregnancy, I'm rather enjoying an increased drive, so to speak, so we have been a little more 'active' lately, and I just want to make sure we're not overdoing it.

Thanks for your candid responses to this sensitive question.

So What Happened?

XINE ~ if this pregnancy follows suit with my last, my libido will drop off the planet as soon as the baby is born, so I'm just trying to ride the wave while it lasts! LOL

I'm not a doctor, but I AM a mama who had 2 pregnancies without complication. A baby bump didn't stop us from any of our normal *ahem* activities. Have fun!! ;)

i think that anything is okay as long as you arent on restriction for anything. but you should probably ask your doc just to be sure. you could even ask in a broad termed way so as not to have to be too specific if you dont feel comfortable...like " is there any type of sexual activity at all that I shouldnt be doing while pregnant?" any kudos to you. my first pregnancy I felt increased libido from about month 3 until maybe 6 and that was it. my second pregnancy i had twins and had no sex drive whatsoever, plus i was just so uncomfortable.

Since no one has mentioned it make sure your non-vaginal activities are not those that are known to spread bacteria.

Wow that was hard to type and I am still not sure if it makes sense.
