Hi, My husband and I have been trying to conceive another child. In the past we've gotten pregnant the moment we've tried. This time around has been a lot harder. I've been tracking my basal body temperature to try and give us some clues. It stays about the same for two weeks, then goes up half a degree like it's supposed to, but only for about three days and then it goes back to what it was for the first two weeks. What does this mean? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

What can I do next?

A great book to read for this is Taking Charge Of Your Fertility. You dont have to buy it local libraries carry it and that is how I first read it. Great website for that book as well.

I think that those 3 days is when you have ovulated. But here is a very helpful website you should check out and get these kind of questions answered. It's: fertilityfriend.com

hello it sounds like you are on the right track. My advice would be to just keep trying or go to your OB/Gyn. to check deeper.I have a 15 year old that I got pregnant with the first time we tried and when we decided to try again we tried for a year,no luck.We went to see my OB/Gyn. and began testing for infertility. We ended up doing everything we could(ferility drugs, artificial insemination, etc.) and still no luck.We have tried for 11 years to have a baby with no luck and there is no real "reason" for it.I wish you the best and hope you do not go through what we have.My husband has never had a biological child and we desperately want a baby we can raise from birth. We would love to adopt a newborn and we are open to any race, either sex and almost any disability. We were foster parents for many years and we havelots of parenting experience with kids with all different backgrounds and a variety of special needs.God Bless you!!!

I would recommend the book "how to choose the sex of your baby". Even if your don't care what gender your baby is. It is great on how to get pregnant in general. It outlines measuring basal body temperature and measuring cevical mucus in general and can probably answer most of your questions.

My guess during that three day period means thats when you are most likely to be able to get pregnant
