Prize for Birthday Party Games.....

I need some ideas of prizes for my games that are going to be played at my sons 1st birthday party. The problem is the kids range from 2 to 11 years old so I need somethings that are not age specific. Please help!! Thanks!

What can I do next?

I agree about balls, especially bouncy ones, and bubbles, everone loves bubbles!

I would go with balls -- beach balls, bouncy balls, playground balls. basketball, soccer ball, etc. All kids love to play with balls. They are timeless and ageless.

Try looking at Jennifer's Party Pad. On Gilbert inbetween Elliot and Warner on the East side. You can also go to her website. Even if you don't buy anything it's fun to look around. My three year old loves it.

Everyone is a winner at our birthday parties and does not receive a prize for every game played. Every child leaves the party with a bag full of goodies that go along with the theme.

At our pirate party we gave away swords, bandanas, pirate telescopes, etc. We still see these items in our friends dress up boxes and it tickles me to know that I didn't give away a toy that would be thrown away in a week!

For my daughters party I made a coloring and activity book pertaining to the theme of the party. On the front I put a picture of my daughter and typed, "Thank you for coming to my party!" Each child received a little basket with crayons and a package of fruit snacks.

I would rather give away something that the kids can use, rather than something that will get thrown away. If you really want to give away a prize with each game I would recommend bubbles, balls, squirt guns, stickers, etc.

Go to Party City or www.orientaltradingcompany.com for ideas. Also, when you go to McDonalds and collect all those happy meal toys, and you decide you don't want to keep it for your kid, then to use it as party prizes or like I do every year is collect it and redistribute it in party bags for the kids, pinata, or even halloween as a "Trick". Because the treat is Candy.

Good Luck!
