Preschools in the North Tampa Bay Area

I totally recommend Land of Learning Academy located on Sheldon Road, just south of Waters Ave. My twins went there and they never had any teacher turnover, they actually learned more and were ahead of all the kids in their Kindergarten class. The school actually said that most kids coming from Land of Learning are generally ahead of the rest. They have an excellent program and are VERY reasonably priced. They provide them a hot lunch M-T and you they bring their lunch on Fridays. If you check them out, tell them The Meitzlers referred you. They can be hard to get into at times, but it is definitely worth a look. R.

I would recommend Countryside Montessori Academy. It is located off 41 in Land O Lakes. It is 18 m- K and from there you can go to Countryside Montessori Elementary which is a charter school. They teach the Montessori method, which is helpful in learning independance and social skills. It also lets them excel at their right pace. The number to the school is ###-###-####.

Hi! I would recommend Learning Gate in Lutz. It is a K-8th charter school, but they have a preschool there too. My son is now in 6th grade, but I put him through preschool there and he didn't even really need kindergarten - he learned so much in pre-k! The main office number is ###-###-####; I am not sure who you would need to talk to but they are wonderful there. It is a natural setting, with the playground in the woods - the kids love it! My four year old goes to All Kids Academy. It's on Livingston Road in Lutz. He started last fall when he was 3 and he goes three half-days a week. I just signed him up for the VPK program for this fall and he will go 5 half-days. I love this school. He is learning to write his name already and can recognize letters and numbers. His teacher is great and I have been happy with all the staff, too. I would highly recommend this preschool to anyone.

L. - I have heard wonderful things about both of them. I am currently on the waiting list at Van Dyke. These schools fill up fast. I used to go to church at Wesley (I got married there) and we now go to Van Dyke. I would highly recommend both the churches and the schools.

I live in the Eagles, too, and although my kids are older now, I have neighbors who have young kids. I forwarded your request to them. Hopefully you will get a response. My one neighbor, Carolyn, belongs to a mom's club here in The Eagles and she loves it! I also encourage you to get them involved in an activity with other children. I work at LaFleur's Gymnastics on Anderson Rd.My 2 daughters are gymnasts. They have classes there for 4 year olds and 2 year olds. The number is ###-###-####, if you want to schedule a class. We have classes during the week in the mornings and evenings and on Saturdays. They would love it. We also give swimming lessons in an indoor heated pool, if you are interested in that.
