Pre-school Options for 3 Yr Old

Hi moms!

I am looking for reviews/recommendations for a pre-school for my son. He is 2 1/2 now and I would like to see him in a more social environment by the time he turns 3. I live in the 33617 zip code. Any recommendations?

What can I do next?

My son went to Temple Terrace Presbyterian and really loved it. The only reason he does not go there anymore, is after several years of saving, we were able to me to stay at home with my boys. However, should I ever have to place him somewhere again, this would be the place. Good luck.

I would highly recommend The Montessori Day House School - They have 2 campuses, one on Erlich and one on Hanley. Tell them "Jacks Mom" sent you :-) They have a part time and full time program. My son has been going there for 2 years and LOVES the program there. Couldnt recommend it enough and we checked out LOTS of schools. Good Luck!

Take a tour of the Montessori Academy of Temple Terrace. My son attends another one of the group's schools and we've been really happy with it. Read up on Montessori at Michael Olaf's website. Good luck.

Wee World at First Baptist Temple Terrace is wonderful. My daughter attended last year as a 2-year-old and she is back again this year. They have so much fun and learn a lot.

I live in the 33617 zip code too and some of the suggestions you got aren't that close to us - and I don't know about you but I wanted convenience... My son started Preschool in August at The Children's Nest Day School on 62nd street and Folwer. When I ask him everyday how was your day? he'll say it was FUN. He likes it there and asks to go to school everyday, even on weekends. I hope this keeps up next year! Here's a site to find VPK - you can use this to help, although it's for VPK the facilties listed take all ages. HTH: http://204.90.20.58/childcare/provider/providersearch.aspx

My two and half year is at Temple Terrace Presbyterian Weekday School. We really like it and my son looks forward to going to school everyday. The teachers takes pictures everyday and posts them on Shutterfly for parents to see. Good luck!

I'm not quite sure where on 33617 you are, but try Van Dyke United Methodist Day School its located on 17030 Lakeshore Road, it's right off of Van Dyke and I know that it's a really good school. My friends had her kids going there and I know they also take 2 yr olds. Good luck!

I recommend Liberty Christian School. They start accepting children at 2 years old and go up through 5th Grade. They have an advanced curriculumn and a great staff!
