I'm trying to decide when and where to enroll my son into preschool. The in-home preschool i really wanted in my neighborhood has a 2 year wait list!!! Yikes! So i'm looking for alternative suggestions.

What can I do next?

Hi A.,

Try Sunrise Montessori if you are in the Glendale area (2 campuses) - although if memory serves me correctly they don't actually start pre-school until the child is fully potty-trained. They do have earlier child care. I LOVED the facility, the teachers, caregivers, and owners. I think they have partial week and full week options. We would still use them for extra or summer care if we were in the area.

Do a yahoo/google search for "sunrise montessori" - not to be confused with Sunrise Preschools of which I know nothing.

Good luck!! =)

I am a Preschool teacher and I have taught at a couple of centers. I highly recommend Mini-Skool. It is a wonderful center and the only place I will take my kids.

I love our school, Dragonfly. The only thing I would change is the # of days. There is only a 4 and 5 day option.

Hi A.,

My 4 year old has attended preschool for 2 years and loves it. I have registered my 2 1/2 year old for next year. Your son needs to be potty trained. This program is out of the teacher's home (very clean and organized). It is called Ready, Set, Go! Preschool. The teacher is Julie Davis. She has classes open for next year starting Aug. 11. Tues and Thurs from 9-11:30am. The school is around 83rd Ave and Olive. Send me a personal message if you are interested. I can give you her number. I don't want to throw it out onto the web. Hope I can help.

Is he potty - trained? Where do you live? I live in gilbert and my son attends lady bug learning club. It's a christian preschool held a church on guadalupe & val vista. We absolutely love this school!! I went to visit many of the preschools in gilbert and this one made us feel most at home. I knew when i visited, this was the one. We have not been let down in any way. If your looking for aug/sept most preschools are registering now, and many do have wait lists. Best of luck, hope this helps if you live in the area

Hi A.,
My daughter goes to Tucson Community School. It is a parent co-op with a play-based, very supportive and nurturing philosophy. They start at 3 year olds and go thru kindergarten. TCS and Waldorf were my top two choices and in fact my only choices. Good luck. I kno wit's a hard decision.
