Preschool in the Fair Oaks, Orangevale, Citrus Heights Area..
Do any of you have your kids in a reasonable priced preschool in this area?
I am looking for possibly the fall, this spring I believe it's to late to enroll.
I am willing to as far south as Rancho and up towards Roseville, but would prefer this area.
My almost 4 year old is pretty ready, and so am I.

Parents can enroll their children into most private preschools year round. My children are enrolled in a montessori pre-school and it has worked for us very well. Preschool is expensive and you will learn that most schools are in the same ball park $600-700 per month.

Check the headstart programs, (which are income based), but they will lead you to state preschool programs (for those who make a little more), and then you will just have to visit the schools to see which ones are right for you.

My son loved going to Sunrise Childrens Center. It is on the feeder road across from Bella Vista High School, off of Buene Vista. Angie is the owner and is an english trained nanny, she is great with the kids and has very good teachers that work with her, the kids adore them. I believe she is reasonable in price and is worth the money. My son had no problem getting into kindegarten and my son has graduated from high school and still goes to visit her.

I have to say we are really happy at Cordova Baptist Preschool in Rancho Cordova. We live in Gold River and it is literally less than 5 minutes away. I am a teacher and I went to a lot of other schools in the area and this one was the best by far. There were a lot that were "prettier" because they had newer and brighter play equipment etc., but this school focuses on the child. It has been around forever (my brother went there in 1975) and some of the teachers have been there for a long time. It has a great and supportive staff and I'd highly suggest looking at it. The school is not religious based and a lot of their students feed into St. John Vianney (sp) and other private schools. Give it a try!

I had my son in Fairvale Pre-school at Madison & Illinois ave. It is very reasonably priced (I think it's $450.00/month-I'm sure they give discounts for more than one child). They were great with him & he loved it there. He's now in 3rd grade & still asks to visit. I kept him there for kindergarten, too. It was a very small class size (10 kids) & he got alot of extra one on one attention that he would not have gotten in the public school. In fact his 1st grade teacher was impressed by how much he had learned.

There is a preschool fair sponsored by the Rocklin MOMS Club - North chapter (of which I am a part of) on Tuesday night, in Rocklin. If you are interested, let me know, and I'll send you the evite with the details. There will be about 15 or so preschools represented, with teachers from the school there with a table each with pictures, brochures, pricing and all sorts of other info, mostly from the Roseville/Rocklin area but some other areas like Loomis, Lincoln, etc. too.
