That's fairly common. You are probably ok. You can take tylenol and get some rest. If cramping starts to feel like your period or you see spotting, call your dr immediately.

Just try to relax. :)

Hi R.,
I went through that same thing! I am 23 weeks now in my first pregnancy and had many more cramps in my first trimester than I do now. Don't be afraid to call the doctor (or nurse) if you are concerned. I've done that several times at it always helps ease my mind!

I had it as well with my last pregnancy and the called round ligament. It from the ligaments pulling. It does get better and I know it can be VEREY painful. Try to get some rest and aleviate some stress and drink plenty of fluids.

I hope you feel better soon.
God Bless you and the baby.

Hi again R.!

Make sure you stay hydrated, drink lots and lots of water and fluids. If I remember correctly, aren't you having a lot of morning sickness as well? When I started my morning sickness at 5 weeks, I was cramping so bad at that same time too. I called my OB and he assured me it was from not staying hydrated. I make sure to drink lots of water and I know when I'm not drinking enough because I start to cramp.

So drink up, sweetie!! :-)

I had this with my first pregnancy and it was extreme. Of course, later I found out I have what's called an irritable uterus. When it contracts, like during my period, the pain just lingers. I had severe cramping in my first trimester and was able to treat it with Tylenol.
