Doughboy - we've had it for 8+ years and it's still in perfect shape. We changed the sand in the filter - that's it. If you get the right pool it's as nice as an inground - with out the real estate tax impact.
We want to get an above ground pool any suggestions on the best quality ones?

We have had our Intex for four years now. I had to replace so O rings but still going strong.
Go for good quality. One with a warranty on set up, liner, etc...we looked and looked. The perfect one would have cost us about $4000 but the company comes out, flattens the space with sand, sets the pool up, starts the filling, and comes back the next day to finish it completely.
The lifetime warranty was what we thought was worth the money all by itself.
Do no get one that has the blow up ring around the top. They can get slightly unbalanced and roll up like a burrito drowning everyone who is in it at that time.
