Podiatrist Recommendation in Bolingbrook/Naperville Area

I am looking for recommendations for a good podiatrist. I have been suffering with heel pain for almost a year and it seems to be getting worse. I always put off going to the doctor, mainly because I don't have a lot of spare time. I think it may be plantar fasciatis. Has anyone else suffered from this? What are some of the treatments and how long did they take to work? I walk constantly and lately, every step hurts. Thanks for any help.

What can I do next?

Thanks for all the input. I am making an appointment with a Dr. Mackler who is in Bolingbrook, near my home. Has anyone had any experience with him? Thanks again.

DR. Robert Weil on trade st in Aurora is great. ###-###-####.
I broke my foot 4 years ago and although it healed well, I was having problems again about 4 weeks into starting a running routine. He analyzed my gait and put me in some custom orthotics that have made a world of difference in the comfort of my feet. The Plantar Faciatis I was developing is going away and my back doesn't bother me any more. Good luck with your podiatric quest.

Dr Zygmunt saved me from surgery...... He is right on Washington, Just look him up on line or in the yellow pages. LOVE HIM!!

I have found a great podiatrist in Joliet. I have only seen her for callouses, though. But she is very knowledgeable, and fixed my painful feet in a matter of minutes. :)
Her name is Lori Knutstrom, DPM.

My son uses podiatrist of Dr Patricia O'Donnell ###-###-#### or web site of http://www.napervillefootclinic.com/archives.htm

I teach yoga in Naperville and Aurora and provide some of the exercises used for PF. I encourage you to see a doctor first! Some students tell me that the inserts from the podiatrist are very helpful and some students tell me that the exercises and brace to wear at night are better than the inserts. It does take time and attention to get relief for PF.

Yes. I had that when I first started running and a year after and it was awful. I went to Dr. Julie Andreas at DuPage Medical Group. She gave me a cortisone shot and it took care of it. It depends on your situation whether you would need anything more than that. I went to 636 Raymond Drive, Suite 300, Naperville, ###-###-####.

HI there,

Yes, i had the same thing, it's very painful, first they gave me a brace for my foot for nighttime to stretch your foot back and said to ice my heals and they gave me an inflammation medication called Day Pro for 30 days. and then I got permanent orthodiacts, they feel a lot better but the minute I don't have shoes on and I'm walking around they start to hurt. The next step is surgery which I guess is only 1% but I'm not going to do that.

Good Luck, I feel your pain. :-)
