Please help-Need New Pediatrician for My Son near Costa Mesa Area!!!

Hi , I have a son that is 16 months old, we should have a play date! I am in huntington beach and that is where our pediatrician is. We are in love with our doctor but they are very popular so the wait can be very long and that is the downfall. The number is ###-###-####, Dr. Chang or Dr. Formizo? Chang is the greatest but getting old and Im afraid she won't be around for the rest of his days, so I see dr. F and he is a younger version but very wise. I know this isnt much but i have a really good pediatrician but shes in garden grove. Shes really good shes been my sons doctors since he was born. If you like more information about her let me know!!!

Huntington Beach has Dr Grace Kasamatsu. The office is called Beach Pediatrics and they operate through Hoag and Choc. Dr. K is one of the best peds i have ever used. So if you dont mind a little drive she is well worth it. And the other dr's in that office are good.

I love my son's pediatrician. Two years ago he had a high fever that would not break. My son up to that point was never sick. So I took him to the ER one night and was told that it was just a cold, keep him on fluids it will be fine. So two nights later he is waking up and crying because his tummy hurt. I took him to Cara Bailey Ruiz MD, in Orange for the first time and found out that he had appendicitis. One look at him and she sent us to CHOC immediately and we found out that it had burst.

She is great with kids and she is really on it. I highly suggest her. Her number is ###-###-####.

I'm so sorry to hear that- I live in HB too and My daughters pediatrictian is in the same group And they are all awesome- I see Dr. Pepek, Dr. Chang and Dr. Furuimizo are just as good. Good luck.

I have heard of some of these doctors and they are all really great. I want to let you know that my son has also seen dr ruiz. She is really great. If you are really worried about him, take him to the CHOC clinic. They have many different doctors working out of there and they can assist you with finding the best one in your area. The other think I would do if find out what plans (HMO's, Hospitals) that she is working with and file a formal complaint.

I don't know what your insurance is, but Newport Children's Medical Group in Newport Beach is really great. They have an office in Newport, Costa Mesa, and Huntington. The Doctor that runs it is head of Pediatrics at Fountain Valley Hospital. All of their doctors are good. Good luck.
