Looking for Indoor Children's Gym for 2 Yr Old near Hinsdale

I used to take my 2yr old to the Gymboree near York and Ogden but they have closed. We also go to Kindermusik but we need something she can run around in and get rid of all her excess energy! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have found a quick way of Letting little ones get rid of energy and not spending a large amount of money to be a challange. Last winter I started bringing my 2 year old and friends 2 year old to the mall where they have play areas for children. They both seem to have a blast.

You can also go to the York Town mall and have her play in the treehouse area. It is pretty nice when it isn't to crowded... also maybe joining a playgroup.. there is an organization called PACES... their website is pacesmoms.com.. they have activities and playgroups..

It is hard when you are new in the area, so PACES is a great place to meet moms.

Also there are a couple gymnastics places... one is Elite gymnastics which is really nice for younger kids... they have a mom and tot program (and you can bring your younger child) I have gone there with 2 kids..

Hope this helps.

There is a Gymquest in Lisle (not sure of the address, but its on their website) and also the Downers Grove park district has open gym at their recreational facility on Belmont four days a week. The times for the D.G. open gyms can be found on their website as well. We do both, and its a great way for my almost 20 month-old to burn of some energy.

We were just introduced to an "open gym" at the Pleasantdale Park District on Wolf Road. It's from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and is $3 for non-residents ($2 for residents). Lots of indoor play toys, but no structure. My 21-month-old daughter loves it!

YMCA has Gym and Swim classes and also open gym programs great for this age. There is a YMCA (Indian Boundary) in Downers Grove. The one in LaGrange is where we go, though they are shutting down in Dec and hoping to move their programs to satellite locations while finding a new location, but that's still up in the air.

I attended a birthday party @ "MyGym". It's a franchise place like Gymboree. It was really nice with alot more activities and equipment than Gymboree. The number to the one in Fox Valley is ###-###-####. Maybe give them a call to see if there is one close to you.

Look up Gymquest.com and see if you have one near you. I live in Plainfield the have open gym 3 times a week. It's $5 for an 1 1/2. The kids get to use all the gym equipment. Everything is soft. My kids are 3 and 5 and they love it.

Check out via Google some of the locations for the jumping/bouncing rooms - such as JumpZone and Pump It Up. I have a 2 yr and 3 yr old and a couple of hours of this during the open gym times is a fantastic way for them to burn off energy and meet other active toddlers/preschoolers.
