Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me find some play gyms in the south shore area? (Near Brockton) I found a great one in Plymouth called Imaginary Island but Plymouth was kind of far. My daughter had a blast and I was hoping to find one closer to us. All your help is appreciated!

What can I do next?

A friend of mine told me that there is a place in Pembroke where she takes her granddaughter all the time. She says it's great because you let the kids play and there is a place for adults to sit and chat and have coffee or whatever.

There is also a play place in Weymouth called the children's museum on Library Memorial Parkway. It's not really a gym, but it's a place kids can go and do different kinds of things, i.e. they have a little house in there that's a store where kids can play with play food and a play register and stuff, they have musical instruments, lots of things. If you have a library card, you can get discounted passes so you can get in for I think $5, I don't remember exactly, but you can call and find out.

Hope this helps!

Hi J.,
I don't know where you live, but there is Gymboree in Quincy. It is like a Gym where they have some wooden structures for the kids to play on. If you have her in a Gymboree Class it teaches imaginative play!! It is a great place for you to meet mothers also!!

Another place is Cubby's Clubhouse in Hanover! It is the most fun you can have in one place ( at least for a 2 or 3 year old!!)It has a climbing structure in there and has alot of other play things there too! THey also have a game room for older kids! Also for grownups they do serve beer and wine! I don't know if that is a good Idea though!! LOL There is also aplace called Scallywags I think it is in pembroke! I hope I was of a little help to you!!
Thanks Becca

Hi;

Don't know where on the south shore you live, but there is Scalliwags in Pembroke, Gymboree in Quincy or Norwell, there is Ellis gym in Braintree, Kathy Corrigans in Rockland which I would recommend. Also, there are usually many library reading groups in many south shore towns which often have a craft after a story time. The Momsanddad's guide is one of the best resources for all activities on the south shore. They have a web site and often you can get them free at libraries or grocery stores.
Enjoy your time with your little one, it goes by so fast,
Mag

I take my son to "The Little Gym" in Raynham. He loves it. We have also gone to the "Totplex" in Canton for just a day visit. They have classes as well as an area for drop-in hours with the jumpy things and a bunch of other toddler/infant toys. Good luck.
