I am looking for some places in the McHenry county area to do play dates with other mom's. We cant think of anywhere to take our little ones. We are tired of going to each others houses and would like to visit parks and such but dont know about any baby friendly ones in the area.

What can I do next?

Dieke park is awesome for the little ones. My kids call it the "dream park" - lots of good playground equipment very appropriate for the little ones.

There are plenty of parks throughout McHenry County. Have you tried Veteran Acres?

Check out www.kidwinks.com, a site for finding things to do and places to go with kids in the Chicago area. If you become a member, which is free, you can then sort any search results by distance from your house. So you can click through the Ongoing Activities Section, where there are categories along the left side, and get a list of parks (or nature centers or chldren's museums, etc., etc. etc.). Then you can sort that list by distance to see what's nearest you. Make sure you're logged in or you won't be able to sort by distance.

Hope this helps.

The treehouse in lake Zurich. They have a separate play area for kids under 1 and under 1 is free. So,so clean and very friendly.
