Pediatrician in Wheaton or Nearby (Glen Ellyn, Lombard, Lisle, Etc.)

I recently moved to Wheaton with my 2-year-old and 7-month-old sons. I love my current pediatrician but her office is now too far away. My current pediatrician takes her time with us during each visit and listens to all of my concerns. She answers each question and doesn't make me feel bad for having more! She is also pro-active and has done her homework to support why she does things the way she does.

Know a pediatrician like that in the Wheaton area? Please let me know!!

Thanks!

It's a three Dr office that won't grow any larger, so you get to see the same Dr every time. Dr. knows kids by name, etc. We see DeStefanie. He doesn't have the best bedside manner, but he knows his stuff --he used to teach. He also doesn't mind getting asked questions about multiple kids during appts. Not the most attachment parenting friendly office, but I love that Destefanie has the most up to date statistics, etc.

We go to Wheaton Pedistrics as well. We have been going here since my 12yr old was a baby.

I like that I can get an appt the same day of needed, and they also now have Sunday sick call appts.

Dr Christensen, Glen Ellyn. Phone ###-###-####. I just love him as do many of my friends. He takes his time and if very thorough. The nurses are really fantastic as well. I came from Wheaton Pediatrics which is a much larger practice; it became too big for what I was looking for. I like to take my son to see the same doctor every time and this was not the case at Wheaton Peds. They are such a busy practice, it was hard to get an appt. with the doc of your choice. Dr. Christensen actually left Wheaton Peds to start his one practice with one other doctor, they now have two male docs and just recently hired on a woman (within last year). He does not plan to get any bigger than this. That is what I really love about the practice. It's conveniently located next to Health Track right off of 355 and Roosevelt. Parking is very easy and the wait time is not bad at all. We love him and would highly recommend him!!!

We have been very happy with Wheaton Pediatrics as well. They are extremely accommodating -- they once held the office open for me after closing on a Saturday. If you leave a message for the Nurses, you will always get a phone call back the same day. Plus, I really think highly of their injection protocol -- they use 2 nurses at the same time, instead of 1 nurse poking over and over. That makes an unpleasant situation a bit more tolerable.

I take my girls to Dr. DeStefani & Dr. Christenson in Glen Ellyn. They are in the fitness building on 53 & Roosevelt road. They have a new building there also, but will not be in it for a few years. We mostly see Dr. DeStefani and he is WONDERFUL!!! They take the time to listen to you too. They are part of the DuPage medical group their number if your interested is ###-###-####.
Good luck, I know it's hard to change when you have someone you like, but trust me, they are great.

I love Wheaton Pediatrics on East Loop Road, ###-###-####. They have 8 doctors and a nurse practitioner, Nurse Vanda. I like and respect Dr. Lynn Ables and Dr. Rucoba(guy) in particular. We are on the CDC catch up schedule for vaccines and they support that very nicely. If you go to Central DuPage Hospital, the one under massive construction, they have priveledges there. I hope you have a positive experience as we have.

Welcome to the area,
