Pediatrician/Allergist/Asthma

Thank you all for your information on new Pediatrician's. I will definately be picking a new one! I am also going to take my son to an Allergist/Asthma specialist. So, now I'm looking for one of those. Any suggestions? My son did see Dr. Mehendele at Centennial for his Adenoid removal last year, but we didn't see him for anything else. Does anyone know how he is for allergies?

So What Happened?™

We have seen Dr. Van Wagoner and we love him and we love the office. Thank you all for recommending him! By the way my son does have asthma and now we can start addressing the issue. I'm glad we have finally diagnosed it.

All of my children and my husband have allergies of different types. We go to Dr. Van Waggoner at Southwest Allergy and Asthma Center. He is absolutely wonderful! Very thorough, and caring with children. His office is in northwest Plano (near Spring Creek and the Tollway).

I second Van Wagoner. He is the most comfortable, through doctor I have ever taken my son to! He was there about 5 months ago and we were VERY impressed!

We see Dr. Van Wagonner at Southwest Allergy in North Plano/Frisco area, and he has done wonders for my son! It turns out he doesn't have allergies after all, but he has been helping us resolve his congestion problem.

Dr. Andrew Gelfand and Steven Copenhaver are pulmonoligists affiliated with Children's Medical Center of Dallas. They just opened a new office in Frisco, maybe a Plano Address? They are near what is going to be the new Children's on Preston Rd. They are wonderful pulmonoligsts and very sweet.

I took my 15-mo old there last month. We saw Dr. Van Wagoner, and he was wonderful. All of the staff we met was great, in fact. They were very thorough and extremely helpful.
