Hi W., I am looking for the same type of services for my son's first birthday party and looked into many companies and individuals offering shows, clowns, etc. I found a good resource is the South Florida Parenting magazine which has a section on party planning.
Hopefully next year I will have someone to recommend.

My husband and I went to Rainforest Cafe on Wed family nights,
and we got the buisness card from a Balloon artist who was really great with the kids as well as his balloons.
The balloons were a sight to see, amazing!
