Owners of Lightweight Stollers?

I am happy to be getting rid of my bulky & extremely heavy travel system stroller and graduating to a lightweight one. I may be asking the impossible but here's my wish list of features: very lightweight, not too bulky, easy to told (one hand fold and stands on it's own would be great!), large storage basket, easy to steer, breathable & washable seat, nice canopy, fully reclining seat (to be able to change diapers and sleep), footrest, and under $200. If you have a stroller you love, please let me know the pro's & con's of it & the features. Also- do you find a removable tray handy or not? I'm considering Combi, MacLaren, Baby Planet Endangered Species but all the reviews I read online are so mixed, it's hard to tell. Much appreciated!

What can I do next?

I love my MacLaren! My husband is so tall the classic worked for us since it's the only one with adjustable height hand grips. There was no tray, but my son didn't mind. We added a cup holder across the handles.

I got mine off ebay and paid $120 for a gently used one instead of $300. It has more than held up and well worth it's money - I've had it for 4 years through many car and plane trips!

with my first 2 kids I had the Maclaren Volo & loved it! We traveled all over the place with it. I have just had my 3rd and received the peg perego Aria and hate it. I am about to but a new and improved Maclaren. Good luck!

i have had a peg perego aria(hated it, you are paying for the NAME on the peg perego producuts!), i have maclaren triumph right now(don't really like it), and you may laugh, but i prefer the graco metrolite for an "everyday" lightish weight but still full featured stroller. i have been through about 10 strollers with 3 kids, but the only one i've EVER bought a second one of is the graco metrolite. i got a discontinued fabric for $80 at www.albeebaby.com. funny thing is, i'm not a big graco fan, i wouldn't touch their carseats if you gave it to me - but i have to give them props on this stroller - it's not perfect BUT it's the best one i've found.

CHICCO Liteway Fuego - Less than $130, Amazon, Target, Babys-R-Us, etc. Gets 5-star ratings from Moms. Got one for my grandson recently. Easy-fold with carrying handle. RED! (Possibly also in grey?). First saw it recommended on Today Show. Love it.

Loved mine! Only dislike is the cup holder in the tray keeps popping out. But maybe they have changed it since. I bought mine in 2008

COMBI!! I love how easy it is to fold and unfold when holding a baby. My only dislikes is the shade isn't big enough for my taste. I like to fully cover my son when he sleeps or facing directly into the sun, but there are extender shades on the market. And the basket. It's not big and kind of flimsy. But I only ever used it for little things anyway. But then I got my Peg and stopped using the combi, but still suggest it too.

go with maclarennnn!!!!!! it has no cons, except maybe no tray and no cup holders, but as for weight and convenience it's thee best!! good luck! =)

Macclaren is the gold standard. You really can't go wrong. Just make sure it has a recline feature.
We have a UppaBaby G-Luxe. Less expensive & lighter. Worth checking out....
I also love the Cybex lightweight stroller but that's in the $250 range... Maybe you can find it used?
Good luck!

I am a big fan of our combi stroller. It is lightweight, easy to fold and carry, easy to pick up the stroller while the baby is in it, and easy to maneuver. My daughter loves the front cup holders as sometimes she likes to grab onto them and act like she is driving the stroller. It is also great if we are out and have to feed her in the stroller as we can place finger foods in the front cup holders. The storage underneath is the only downside, but we have started clipping her diaper bag onto the back handle and that works well.
