I guess the reason I am asking about this is fairly clear. With so many different types out there, has anyone had success with a certain brand???

What can I do next?

You normally should ovulate 14 days before you expect to get your next period. What I did was chart my temperature BEFORE getting out of bed every morning and then when my temp spiked I used an ovulation predictor and it was positive. It only took me one and it saved me a ton of money. I don't remember what brand I used though so someone else might have that info.

I used the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor. It is about $200.00 and the stick (3 months worth) are $50. I had good success with it. I got pregnant with in 9 month of starting to use it. I know that there are so many out there, and it is hard to find the right one for your self.. Good luck! :)

I also used the Clear Blue Easy one, and got pregnant in 2 months with my second. I have a very unususal cycle, and it would've been very difficult for me to get pregnant had I not used this. Good luck!

Good Morning H.,

I don't have advice for a certain ovulation predictor, however I just wanted to give you heads up that these kits do not always work. So.... don't get distressed if the test can not tell you when you are ovulating, you still can get pregnant. I tried several different kits and none of them pointed out an ovulation time period for me, which concerned me greatly. However, I am now a proud mother of two children:)

Good Luck on number two:)

A little about me:

I am a 34 year old mother of two; 2year old girl and 5month old boy:)

I guess I'm lucky. I can tell when I'm ovulating. The clear discharge, the affectionate feelings toward my man. Go with nature.

I used a saliva based ovulation preditor, bought it at Target. Before trying the saliva-base one, I tried a couple of others, but didn't have any success. Later, with the saliva-based one, I found out why - my ovulation was so early, just a couple of days after my period, and with the other predictors I missed that window because I would only do so many tests. With the saliva based ovilation predictor you can test every day, several times a day. It is a one-time cost. I kept my predictor, I will use it next time when I need it, it worked great for me.

Good luck!

I never had any luck with ovulation kits. I used 3 different brands (can't remember which ones) and they never showed that I even ovulated. Now I could have been using them incorrectly, but being a nurse I feel that I was doing everything correctly. As soon as I threw out the last one, I said that's it...mother nature it's your turn. 2 months later I was pregnant with twins! Trust your body, and let nature do the work!

I used a saliva based ovulation predictor. It's very easy and it's a one time cost. www.ovulens.com has information on them. I bought mine at Target or Walgreens and it's a diffent brand, same concept. Good luck!
