Opinion of Coach Outlet in Allen?

The Coach Outlet stores anywhere I've shopped are FABULOUS! Yes, it's probably last yrs model but who cares? It's the quality I love about their products. I bought one this past summer and it is perfect - nothing inferior about the products at all...they're just discontinued or last yrs models is all there is to it!

We've done both and prefer the Coach store.

The lining is different in the outlet. They will have something different to set the apart from the store. My daughter bought 1 at an outlet and it looks so used and worn that she no longer carries it. She carries the one she got at the Coach store 2 yrs ago instead.

It is just my opinion, a lot of people are happy with outlets. Personally, I am not an outlet person because a lot of the stores have merchandise specifically made for the outlet. Just ask and they will tell you...the lablels are different and quality is different. YES, I know that they also get some things from the stores that do not sell, sized wrong, etc.

There is usually a reason why it is cheaper....

I work at the Coach Store in Northpark Mall. I can tell you that the Coach outlets are just as good of quality. The only difference is they are the purses that are no longer carried in the Coach stores. Coach only makes so many of each bag and we only carry them so long in the stores once that have reached that time limit they are shipped off to the outlets. Same great quality just older styles and styles that are no longer carried in the regular Coach Stores. Hope that helps.

I am too a long-time Coach person. My sister bought be my most recent one at the outlet mall over the July 4th sales and I've been nothing but pleased with it. It has held up and is showing no signs of an "irregular", etc.

I think she paid about $120 for it and it was originally $360. (I'd seen it at the mall store for the higher price.)

The Coach Outlet in Allen is has the same thing you get at the stores but at what they call a red line price (a discount) and then there are some that are even on sell more. They seem to be always having a sale too. It is worth it to look there.

I love the Coach Outlet in allen! I got a beautiful brown leather bag last summer. Retailed for $498 - I got it for $130! It was from last season - Coach quality at a fraction of the price. Even the cashier was surprised at the deal I got. I have loved that purse. Even better, I got on the mailing list and I now get coupons for the Coach "full" price stores. Good luck!

I asked the clerk and she told me specifically which ones were from the MALL store and which ones were made esp. for the outlet... the price tags are different and inside the official leather seal is different too. The are all coach though...
just ask the clerk they will tell you! :)

I shop there all the time~ I love the outlets for all shopping. I have about 4 purses from the outlets around the US~

I buy most of my coach purses from Coach outlet in San Marcos and Round Rock and love them. There is no difference in quality.

Looks like you have had plenty of responses but just wanted to let you know about my experiences. I first went to a Coach Outlet in Silverthorne, CO on a ski trip. Now everytime we visit Breckinridge which is 2 times a year, my husband always takes me shopping there and I always come back with 2 purses (for the price of one!). I always ask to speak with a manager or asst. manager and ask them to show me only the purses that are or were available in the department stores. She told me that if the numbers inside the purse contain the letter "F" that those were made specifically for the outlet. And I never buy those. I have always had good luck with my purchases. I was in CO in Sept. and found purses there that were in Dillards the spring before. I have found that the outlet store has cute keychains which are great stocking stuffers. Good luck!

I think as with any outlet store, the selection is hit or miss. If you don't see something you love, wait a week and go back. The prices are definitely lower, and I bet they start doing sales to gear up for Christmas. I bought a med size leather Coach purse there in Aug. and it was only $191. I love it, and wear it everyday. Hope this helps.

Hi There...Another great place to find great, authentic purses is on-line! My friend and I have an e-bay store where we sell all authentic purses (Coach/Dooney & Bourke etc..). They were all bought on clearance at Dillards and are usually just last years line. Be sure to buy one from a store that offers 100% refund if not completely satisfied. You won't believe all of the great deals you can get on there. E-bay also puts their products through an authenticity verification process before listing the items. This is also a great time because most stores offer free shipping!

I LOVE Coach purses and live in Mckinney. I have been to the outlet several times. The prices are definately cheaper. I bought a Swingpack for $80. I have several other Swingpacks that I bought in the mall that have the Coach lining and tag inside. This purse only has black lining and no inside tag. Since it is leather, the only way you would know it is Coach is by it's hangtag. I noticed that a lot of the purses at the outlet are ones I remember seeing in the regular store, but some are made just for the outlets I think. I am not an expert, this is just from what I could tell by small differences. Also, the styles are older.. like right now, they have a ton of "small C" purses... and they are really cheap.

How I purchase Coach purses is to go to the regular store in the mall, find what I like, and then buy it on Ebay from someone that has very reputable feedback. There are Coach dealers that get the bags from stores since Coach changes out their styles SOOO much. If a purse just came out, it will only be $20-$40 cheaper or so... but if you like one, and wait a few months, or it has been out awhile, you can get it for a big discount.

Yes they are the same quality, most of them may be overstocked items or styles that are discontinued, and are definitely less expensive. Haven't been to the one in Allen, but my mom and I got purses at the Coach outlet in Tennessee back in the mid 90's. I still have both purses and they have lasted a long time. I bought a leather Dooney at the Dooney & Bourke Outlet in Orlando over 2 1/2 years ago and it still looks brand new and I carry it daily.

I bought my Coach from the outlet in San Marcos. Its cute and not too expensive. What I do is check out the Coach store at the mall and go online and try to find something close to what you want thats up to date.

Have you tried e-bay? They are usually a season behind but you can find some great deals. You need to know what the full price is to make sure you are getting a deal but I have ordered 2 purses (both new) and saved more than $100 on each of them. Just specify that you want new with tags when you set up your search parameters. I only order from sellers that show the inside of the bag w/ the Coach logo. Both of my purses have been in excellent condition. I highly recommend trying it.

I work for Coach so let me clarify all of y'all's questions... No, the outlets do NOT have last years models or anything of the such. Everything is new. The quality of the outlet merchandise is not low or bad at all. Everything Coach makes is very high quality and uses the finest leather as well as all of the other components used to design our product. Like one of the Northpark Coach employees already conveyed, there is only a certain amount of time a product can stay in the full price retail stores before it has to be deleted in order for new merchandise to come to those stores. Therefore, they have to send what is left to the outlets. This does not make it old, it just means it is a month or so old. Also, if a particular collection did really well in full price (for example, Zoe) and it was deleted, Coach sometimes will decide to relaunch it again a few months later and design a whole new variety with new colors and such and send them all to the factory stores.
