I am 45 years old. I have a 2 1/2 year old little girl. Yes she was a suprise at my age but a blessing. I also have a 22 year old, 19 year old and 18 year old. All from the same dad too. I am having a hard time finding other older mothers that I can relate to. I am old enough to be some of these other toddlers mothers mom!! I dont have anything against being with them but I find that I am at such a different stage in my life but still need the connections with other mothers so my baby has friends to be with. I was wondering if there are any other older mothers out there that would like to get together or if there are any groups for us "old farts" tee hee.

What can I do next?

I am a 35 year old (no spring chicken myself) SAHM of an almost 3 year old boy and a 7 month old boy. I have a couple friends with younger children (boys and girls) and we range in age from early to late thirties. We try to do lunch at a playland a couple times a week and always welcome newcomers. If you and your daughter would like to join us on our next outing send me your email adddress.

Hi....I am newly 40 with a 2 year old son...I didn't get married until I was almost 37 so not only am I older, but I do not have the experience that many women my age have with kids.

One thing that you may really like is "Motherhood Later than Sooner"...I found a local chapter in my area and I love it....you can even start a chapter in your area if there is none.

http://www.motherhoodlater.com/

It is extremely common these days to have kids later in life...I don't find the age gap to be a huge issue (although I find myself secretly jealous at times as I never had what they had at a young age -I was working in a career I did not like and going through relationship after relationship -ugh). What I find to be hard is my lack of identity now -I am staying at home (not working) -abandoned a 16 year corporate America career....my husband travels too much and there was no way we could juggle us both working.

I am here if you ever need support...

You should check out www.momsclub.org In my chapter, there are a lot of "older" moms with younger kids. www.mops.org is another great group for moms.

Hi I am also a SAHM-aged 43 with a 3 yr old-I also have a 25 yr old who is married and sfe has a 6 month old, 2- 23 yr olds, an 18 yr old and with my DH we have a almost 10 yr old and our diva 3 yr old! I understand what you mean about most of the moms you could be there mom-I have that problem alot also-most of them do not understand what it is like to be a seasoned parent and to then also be dealing with potty training for the 5 or 6th time-each time is different and so you need support with each stage still even though you have been through it before. Where in the Valley are ya? I am out west! e-mail me if you are close- ____@____.com

I am a SAHM but I also work from home. I am 40 yrs ols with a 2 1/2 year old. I am also the mother to a 10 yr old daughter, and 16 yr old son. With 3 step daughters ages 14, 16, 17. I would love on occasion to get together with other older moms too. I am so tired at the end of the day and I dont know if it is age or a toddler... I travel alot. We love Disneyland, we go often.
