Oily Forehead, Dry Face

My face gets oily after a few hours after putting on my makeup. My forehead gets oily, but around my mouth and nose gets dry. :(
Without wiping my makeup off, what can I do to get rid of the oil? I put on olay facial lotion on the dry parts and under my eyes every day, but not on my forehead. Please help, this is driving me nuts!

What can I do next?

Hi B.,
Shaklee has a wonderful skincare line called Enfuselle. They have a moisturizer for oily skin. I know that sounds crazy, but oily skin still needs moisturizer. Some of my clients have had the oiliness problem disappear after using this for awhile and no longer need it.
You can check out the entire line at http://www.shaklee.net/healthforlife There are 8 patents on these products.

NuSkin has a product that you can actually see draw out the oil, and you can use it for spot treatments. You can also use it when you get bites, etc., as it draws out the poison. It is Glacial Marine Mud. I have used these products for years, and would never use anything else. They are all natural and good for all types of skin. My website is www.fogel.nsedreams.com. You can contact me from there. I know you will be extremely pleased, and for the results, it is very affordable. M.

You probably need a more moisturizing cream for the dry parts first. I use an olay day-cream (not the SPF15 lotion) on the super dry areas, let that dry, then mix a little cream foundation with the lighter oil of olay lotion with SPF and put that all over my face. When all is dry I dust with powder. I carry blotting papers (CVS brand) to blot oily spots during the day. I also clean my face with an acne wash what really removes the dirt and oil at night before slathering my whole face with night cream. Creams are more moisturizing than lotions. There are creams that claim to work for combination skin, but I have not tried them. Good luck.

I use Clinique's 3 step system and like that. They have different formulas for different skin types. They also have blotting papers you can use to absorb oily spots... they're called "Pore Minimizing oil blotting sheets". I use them in the summer.

I agree on Clinique's 3 step system. I have the same type of skin you do, VERY oily on forehead, nose, and chin and dry on cheeks. I really like Clinique's Acne solutions foaming cleanser and the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, made for oily and combination skin.
