Everybody is different. My period has been like clockwork my whole life. Even when breastfeeding, I usually started my period with all three children at about 6 - 7 months. When it started back, it was heavier and lasted longer with more cramps for the first 2 - 3 months. Once I started again, it was on the regular schedule immediately. Most of my friends have had different experiences. It completely depends on your body. For peace of mind, you may want to take a pregnancy test - especially if you are not using reliable birth control.

It took me a couple of months to get back to MY normal like clockwork cycles of 28 days. However, keep notes on the calendar so you'll know for certain when day 1 rolls around so you'll have the info. for your dr. if you are still concerned. In the meantime, make sure you are using birthcontrol and that's not the issue. Just after having baby, you are very fertile.

It depends. If you are breastfeeding your cycles could be quite irregular for some time. If you aren't and you aren't using BC you could be preggo again. And for some it will take a few months to regulate the hormones again even if they aren't breastfeeding. If you are really concerned I'd call the OB, but I'd wait it out a month or two more and see what happens unless you think you could be pregnant.
