Night Clothes
Good Evening ladies quick question for you??? I am looking for some ideas on nightclothes that make me feel good and on the other hand that are not too sexy..Problem is i am very small busted and have a scar on my right side from a surgery i had as an infant..I wear lounge pants and tops to bed at night but would like to wear something to cover my scar and not to be to sexy as this is something i do on special occasions. There are no problems in my night life relationship with my other half but i am feeling like i need to be.. i don't no how to put it, but alittle more uncovered at night I feel like my grandma at night trapped in a 32 year old body..So i guess what i am asking is what kind of attire do you wear at night to feel alittle more comfortable?..It i guess is my scar insecurities that make me cover myself up.If you can give me some suggestions..
So What Happened?™
good morning ladies i was anxious to get up today to read your responses..Well good advice so far i know i will get more. I want to clarify real quick that my better half is not at all bothered by my scar and it is pretty big in size, It is something i have very much so struggled with all my life and yes it is very gruling for me although it has not been an issue in my romance world thank god!! But it is something i have not been able to deal with emotionally but its there i can't afford to get it fixed and i will live with it forever, so i am trying to put clothes with my body to feel good about myself.. Thanks for you responses

Hi S.,
This comes to you from a 43 year old. Sometimes I get hot or cold at night so I like to have options and I too only dress sexy for certain occations. Normally in the winter I wear a 3/4 sleeve night shirt with sweat pants. I find them comfy and if I get hot, I simply slip off my sweat pants and crawl under my covers. In the summer I wear a sleeveless or short sleeved night shirt and shorts. Most of my clothing is inexpensive as I shop at Kohls and Walmart. Hope this helps.

Forget about that scar, honey- he doesn't care about it one bit! I would suggest some counseling for you to get over that scar. I have LOTS of scars- really bad deep stretch marks from having 3 babies- looks like I was attacked by a shark (infact I have fooled several people to think that I WAS! Just as a joke of course) It looks nothing like a stomach- it looks like a war wound. My husband doesn't care. They don't worry me one bit. I sleep naked sometimes and have no trouble wearing sexy lingerie any day of the week! Also don't you worry about that small bust! I WISH I had a small bust! I started out a DD in High School! OUCH! and after every baby my cup size went down by one. At present I'm a large B/ small C- but they are NOT the happy perky little ladies they were before babies sucked the life out of them! If I had small boobies, they wouldn't be hanging halfway to my belly button! (That can at times be my sorespot- see I need counseling , too! UGG)
Point is DON"T WORRY ABOUT YOUR BODY! Your man DOES NOT CARE! He loves every inch of it- ugly, beautiful, sagging, small, large- he LOVES IT. Time for you to love it too! Wear something super sexy tonite- whether your scar is out or not- he won't care about that, he's going to be so distracted by the rest of you! Be a goddess- inside and out, Love, that is what you are. Time to feel like it.

I was having a similar problem. My PJs consist of loungy pants and baggy T-shirts. My hubby would complain! My problem was i needed something that i could walk around in the house (in front of the kids),not be too cold and also still show alittle skin. I ordered a punch of PJs from VS last month. I found that the little outfits with pants and cute camis were perfect. I am also small busted and the babydoll style top was perfect! Here is an example of one: http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prod...

Why are you insecure about the scar? Have you talked to your husband about how he feels about it? My guess is she hardly notices it and it doesn't bother him a bit.My husband has a 3 inch scar on his stomach from surgery as an infant.i barely notice it,and it certainly doesn't bother me.Perhaps talking to him will make you lose the insecurity and you will feel good about wearing something sexier!!

I'm not much of one to go overboard on lingerie, either, so I understand where you're coming from. Two points: 1) sexy is all about how you feel, not what you're wearing or the size of your chest or a scar or any of that. 2) Consider something that maybe isn't revealing, but is a soft fabric. Have you felt anything made from modal? It has a beautiful drape, is completely machine washable and dryable and is made from a sustainable plant. And you don't have to break from the lounge pant/top combo. Check it out at Kohl's or Target (and I think I saw that Penney's carries some, too). And it won't break the bank.

Hi S.
I just went to victoria's secret bc i was walking in the mall and i saw the store and i felt bad that i always wear big tshirts to bed. I am married and my husband would love me to wear something different to bed. I want to be comfortable though. I have kids i get up with and my mom spends the night at our house almost every night. A lot of materials react badly on me so i found these little nighties with beautiful colors and the material is the best cotton and they come to the knee or slightly above it. I feel a little more feminine and my husband is happy. Try them!

First of all as long as you are comfy and you and your hubby don't have any other nighttime issues then don't stress bout what you're wearing. If you want to wear lounge pants, have you ever thought about getting some that are prettier/silky/fancy? Same with the top. You can find really cute little combos nowdays that are younger looking and help you feel good but still don't have you just sleeping in a thong. Most of the retail stores have a good selection of cute nightwear. I have a 16 year-old sister-in-law who is constantly sending me this stuff so I know it's out there. You can still be a little covered and be cute. Also maybe try night shorts if they don't show your scar. That would be very cute as spring and summer get here. Good luck and happy shopping!
