Just wondering what kind of pj's you ladies wear to bed? My hubby made the comment earlier that I was too young to be wearing the type of pajamas I am wearing( flannel pants and a tank top). I am in my early 30's, and am curious about my pajama choices now!!

I usually throw on one of my oversized wife beater shirts and a pair of flannel boxers. I hot flash too much to sleep naked, I have to have something to sop up the sweat. Menopause, gotta love it.

My 20 year old niece wears flannel pants and a tank. I guess I'm really bad because even when I'm not pregnant, I wear my husband's shirts that are now too big and sweat pants. My husband commented once and I told him to go buy me everyday pajamas to wear to bed. It's been a few years and I'm still waiting for him to buy me some pajamas that he likes for everyday.

I wear nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. I don't care how cold it is outside I just put on bigger covers. Naked is the best way to sleep!! (and I have 3 kids that are in and out of my room. I just have a nightshirt next to the bed that I can throw on if I am needed.)

Never pajamas. I am too darn hot.

I wear night gowns. Short ones in the summer and longer in the winter.. I am one of those people that sleeps with a sheet and even then with at least 1 foot out.

FYI also no underpants.. Our doctor told our mother back in the 70's we should all sleep without them so our bodies could breath.. So we follow her directions and have never had.. "lady problems" infections or anything like that..

I have a nice fuscia and black lace corset and thigh highs that he and I like. Or the fur handcuffs.

Oh, you mean to sleep?

T-shirt and pj bottoms and socks. Always socks...essentially what you wear. Nighties get all twisted up.

I guess the better question is What does your husband want you to wear???? And will he buy if for you (if it's actually clothing).

Exactly what you wear.
tank top, with pants or capri length bottoms.

Are yours floral or anything? That can make you look more "mom". Maybe he was referring to the design more so than the outfit. I like solid black or red/pink.

I'm 31. I used to (age 18-28yrs) ALWAYS wear long flannel or other long pj bottoms and a tank top. I could not sleep if bare knees touched bare knees. Then at age 29 or so I started getting more 'in the mood' and started going to bed in just underwear and a shirt/tank. (easier to get my groove on with hubby if less clothes to remove). So now at 31 I take off the flannel bottoms or boxer short bottoms right before I hop into bed and sleep in underwear and a tank/shirt.

(BTW - what does husband say you should be wearing? A long sleeved collared matching pj set? Is flannel pants and a tank too teeny-bopper or something? He watches too many commercials)

@Laurie: I wear cotton :) And I go to bed in the non-tight very airy undies. I also have not had lady problems in ages.

I wear thin stuff, Mama. I have too many hot flashes and night sweats to wear anything heavy. Most of the time it ends up in the floor beside the bed. When hubby is in town, he throws off enough heat beside me to keep me warm regardless.

The funny thing is that sometimes I need to wear socks. So the top half of me is a furnace and my feet are like ice for about an hour. Then the socks come off!

T-shirt or long-sleeve henley and undies. Anything else is too hot.

There is a hilarious Flight of the Conchords song called Business Time about the wife wearing an ugly, baggy old t-shirt to bed. Worth checking out on YouTube. :)

I wear a tank top and underware. Sometimes I'll wear one of my husbands t-shirts (with underware). I really don't like wearing pants to bed because I find it uncomfortable and I can't wear flannels to bed because I get too hot. I do not think flannel pants and a tank top is "too old" for you! I'm 32 and when I was in college flannel pants and a tank is what everyone wore to bed!! Maybe your hubby is just trying to hint around that he would rather see you wear something else to bed?? Reguardless, don't stress - you're not dressing old! ;)

I love cute but comfy pjs! I'm also picky as anything. I like 2 piece pants and shirt. The shirt can not button up the front more than a few buttons at the neck.(think polo or henley). What weight I wear is totally dependant on the weather of course. When it gets cold enough I like a good flannel or fleece pants with usually a tshirt material top but I have a couple warmer shirts for the worst nights. Warmer weather will see me in lighter pants or shorties.
I have seen some of the cutest flannel pj pants! 30 is not too young to wear them. I see them in the juniors section all the time. That's where I've found some of mine.

I wear flannel PJs tops and bottoms! It's cold here in the fall/winter! When It's warmer, I wear thinner cotton pjs - long sleeves. When it's hot in the summer, I sleep naked.

My men say I'm sexy in whatever I wear, or don't...

BTW - the women I know in their 20s wear tank tops and pjs bottoms!

Too old? No way! I don't wear flannel pants only because they're too warm for me, but I do wear thin long bottoms (even in the summer...can't stand my own leg hair if I didn't shave that day!!) and either a short sleeve shirt or tank top. I'm pretty darn similar to you. What does he want you to wear to bed? Sleeping is about sleeping...comfortably. If you were wearing a long granny moo-moo I'd probably agree with him, but I think you're (we're) perfectly normal!

Oh...and definitely NO undies!!!

Sweet dreams. :)

I'm in my early twenties and almost always cold. Flannel pants with my high school gym t-shirt (still big on me), my middle school gym shorts and t-shirt (still big on me), a light tye-dye blue t-shirt with fuzzy blue pajama pants, fuzzy pink pajama pants with a matching long-sleeved top, penguin pajama pants with a t-shirt, dog pajama pants with a t-shirt, sweats and a t-shirt, sweat pants with a long-sleeved top, a short nightdress, or a pair of shorts with a spaghetti strap top. Half the time I fall asleep fully dressed. I also wear a bra to bed. If he wants something sexy then stripping me down is his job ;)

I think flannel bottoms with a tank is the perfect compromise to warmth and sexyness for around the house. Hay, its what I have on right now! Most of the time I wear a short strappy night gown because i live in a warm climate. I usually slip my pi's off before bed and just wear the tank and panties because the extra fabric drives me crazy in bed. Before babies, it was just panties and a bra (yes I wear a bra to bed). But since there is no telling if i will need to get up and tend to my children, I wear more to bed now. I think your husband probably has some kind of unsexy association with pj's. I know so many young woman and teenager who's wear PJ bottoms. Its totally youthful though in a practical way not in a sex pot kind of way. your husband is off.

I am 50 and wear to bed for all seasons only silky undies and one of those spaghetti strap tank tops with a built in shelf bra for support. Otherwise the 'gals' roll around too much when I roll over. I'm a 36 G.

I'm very warm blooded...so this is just me.

None! Except when I'm a guest at someone's house, or maybe if we have guests in our home. (I may wear clothes if there's guests in our home...but even then they're on the other side of the house and have their own private bath, the dresser, closet, and bathroom are fully stocked with new EVERYTHING in case they forget something, so they shouldn't need me in the night and if they do, they should know how to knock...I get a little aggravated because my husband will wear pj pants and then I feel like I'm not making an effort, so whatever---I'll put some soft flannel pants and a tank on, like you...). If I have to....that seems to be the best choice for me. I HATE things (shirts, gowns, whatever) moving, bunching, or getting trapped around me because I am a freakishly light sleeper but I move around a lot. Now if it's a "special" date or whatever, I might put something pretty and nice on, but only because I know it's going away soon. I'm 36.

I learned a long time ago that I stay warmer naked than I do when I wear Pjs...

I LOVE to wear PJs around the house - I have a great pair of cotton pants with a satin draw string/elastic waist and a matching red top - it's VERY comfortable!!!

I started wearing a tank & shorts or pants in the college dorms (most of the girls did the same). When I got out of the dorms, I switched to oversized T-shirt or tank & panties until I had kids (or it was too darn cold) and then I added the shorts and pants back since my kids just randomly walk in my room in the morning and I don't particularly want to scar either one of us for life :) I'm in my early 30s, too. Like someone else said, if we were wearing the granny gown, that's one thing. But there's nothing "old" about a tank top and comfy pants! I sleep for comfort, not for style.

So, what does your Husband wear to bed???
Is he all so sexy and buff and perfectly suave and fashionable... like say Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp or Alex O'Loughlin, would be going to bed or lounging in???

If not, then tell him he shouldn't be commenting on what you wear to bed.
Didn't know, that per age... a women had to wear only certain things to bed.
Tell your Hubby that his theory is flawed.

Me: tank top, boy shorts or pajama bottoms.

I have never worn PJs since I was a kid, except on Christmas morning to match my daughter or whatever. Maybe 3 times ever. I never sleep in them. I wear long silky night gowns. I used to love the floor length gowns but now you cant find them more than mid calf and I dont like them as much. Im tall and I want my feet to feel the fabric when I walk and I love to curl up on the couch with my feet inside the gown. Summer or winter, I wear these silky nylon or whatever it is, long gowns.
