I just found out that I am pregnant with our first biological child. We have been trying for a while, so I would like to tell my husband that we are expecting in an exciting way. Any ideas or sugggestions on how to tell my husband that we are finally getting our first biological child would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I let our five year old try to tell me husband. It was very funny watching him try to understand what she was saying as she was talking very fast and excited. She just kept yelling, "gonna be a big sister". He loved it. Thank you again for the great suggestions.

When you go to the doctor for your first exam/checkup, ask them to give you a copy of the positive pregnancy test paperwork. Frame it, gift wrap it, and give it to him after you put your other child to bed.

Congratulations - I am so happy for you!!!!! Enjoy every moment of your pregnancy - it is a gift.

Hi A. S, i have a few ideas, well a couple of them i got off of a TV show. You can fix hin a romantic dinner, of baby back ribs, baby corn, baby carrots. you can buy a baby rattle or a pair of booites, and wrap them up and give it to him during dinner, or leave it on his pillow. Or you can get him a card that says congradulations on your up coming blessed event. well those are a few ideas, women love stuff like this, so I'm sure you will get pleather of ideas, if you don't mind let us know what you choose, and then let us know how he reacted. If i can ask you how long it took for you to get pregnant, becasue, my son and my daughter in law have been trying for over two years now, and nothing yet. They both got checked out by their doctors and was told these no medicalk reason why they have not concieived. The logest it took mto get pregnant was 6 months. J.

When you go in for your checkup ask them to do a sonogram. It will be done vaginally if you are early. We did this for my parents. Our doctor gave us copies of the sonogram and we found a beautiful frame. We wrapped it up and on Christmas day they opened it. It took my mom, seriously, like 2 whole minutes to figure it out, but the happiness in my parents eyes was priceless! We waited 2 whole months to tell them so it was a big relief to let them know.

Hi
Here's an idea. Get your 5 year old a "big sister / brother to be" tshirt. Put it on and wait for hubby to notice.
Good luck
