Needing Advice for Hypoallergenic Deodorant
I have a rather odd request but I thought that I would get some great advice from all of you. Can anyone recommend a hypoallergenic deodorant or an alternative . My husband is very allergic to deodorant. he will break out in a rash with hives within 30 minutes. Any suggestions as to an alternative would be great. Thanks

YES!!! We are very picky about deodorants. MOST of them have cancer causing ingredients in them. Go to www.cosmeticsdatabase.com You can see which ones are free of all the chemicals that may be causing his reaction. Good luck.

My favorite is Sprout's own brand of Crystal Rock deodorant. It works! And you can also use a spray colloidal silver.

M., My Mom is VERY allergic to deodorants and most anything else you put on your skin. She's used Shaklee deodorant for a really long time and hasn't had any problems with it. You can probably google a Shaklee distributor in your area. Hope this help! God bless! S.

Barb,
I was searching for a post about teen acne that I read before and came across yours. I do something unusual for deodorant.
I make my own. It works for me - I don't know if it would work for a man that has a physically active job. You could mix some up and he could try it at home on a Saturday!
I mix a small bit of epsom salts with witch hazel in a small bottle. I don't usually measure it out, let's say an ounce of witch hazel and a half a teaspoon or so of the salts? I've been using this mixture for about 6 months or more. This last time around I put a few drops of original Listerine, and a drop each of tea tree oil and lavender oil in.
I definitely have to shower every day, and if I'm going out in the evening I sometimes freshen up the old underarms!
I got this idea because I bought an alternative deodorant at WalMart and its ingredients were distilled water and sea salts! I thought to myself "I can do that!"
LOL,
A.
I have a somewhat compromised immune system - hypothyroidism and allergies, so I keep trying different things to improve my health.
