Need to Connect with Other Newly Single Moms

My husband and I have recently separated and I need to connect with other moms. I feel like I have been living in a cave for the past 10 years and have lost many connections with old friends, since my soon to be ex didn't like me going out. Alot of my friends don't have kids, so I am looking for other moms to connect with in San Jose. My son does have mild autism, so he is not as social as most kids and is real stubborn. Anyone know of any moms groups?? I need to get out and start socializing again. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I know the woman who runs this program, a center for autistic kids. She had a vision for an afterscool play place for autistic kids and has made it happen. Might be able to set you up with other moms. They just opened recently.

I know pump it up also has a night for autistic kids.

Hi A.,

I second Las Madres. It is a wonderful outlet and you will meet alot of mom's there. You will join the group of the same year as your son was born so he will have children of the same age to play with. I think you will like it.

Good luck,
.

Hi A.,

I recently seperated from my husband too. I'm sorry for your loss. (By that I mean the loss of a partner and a dream, not him specifically). You could try las madres or one of those kid's gyms.

Best wishes,

Jasmine
