Seeking Mom Groups in Santa Clara or San Jose , Sunnyvale

Las Madres Neighborhood Playgroup is a great Moms (and Dads and caregivers) group. We have playdates, mom's night out, scrapbooking night, playgroups for working moms, we have monthly speaker nights, etc.
Our playgroups go by year baby was born (children between 0-5 years old) and then by region (if you live in Willow Glenn, Saratoga, Los Gatos, etc)
You get 30-day trial membership to see if Las Madres would be something you'd like to join. Oh and no you are not obligated to host playdates at your home if you don't want to (at least I've never been asked, always someones volunteer or we meet at parks, and you are not to be 'interviewed' to see if you can join (just to be clear on that :)

You may want to check out MOMS Club of West San Jose/Campbell, www.momsclubofwsjc.org. I have been a part of this amazing organization for 5 years now and it has been the single best thing that I have done for myself and my kids as a stay at home mom. If you don't live in WSJ or Campbell there are other MOMS clubs around the South Bay (check out www.momsclub.org). I have formed great friendships for both me and my children. Also, they have lots of fun activities during the day, such as park days, lunches, field trips, play dates at homes, etc. We also have a babysitting co-op and monthly moms nights out. We are very welcoming to new people and try hard to make everyone feel comfortable as we know its hard to meet other stay at home moms in this area.

Las Madres is grouped by bith year and region within Santa Clara County... which is great because the kids that will be going to school together get to know each other before Kindergarten. Ther's a 30day trial (you can pick more than one birth year and more than one City during this first 30 days). You and your son will love trying out new parks and meeting new friends. Try Las Madres Neighborhood Playgroups. My daughter is now 14 and I joined a Las Madres group when she was 7 months. I am still friends with a lot of the moms from the group: www.lasmadres.org
