Need Summer Day Care for 8 Year Old

Call the school she will be attending and see who runs their after school program. Often they will have a summer care program as well. You may check with the OP Rec center. Also the YMCA and Johnson County Parks and Rec have summer programs or "camps" for kids. What's good about the camps at the Y and JoCo Parks and Rec is that they are usually enrolled in weekly increments so you can often sign your new daughter up when she arrives. Good luck!

You might try Summer Enrichment throught the Shawnee Mission School Disrict. Its about $150 a week and there are no residency requiremnets.

My 8 year old son is going to summer camp through Johnson County Parks and Recreation. It's call Summer Escapades and its $85 per week. You can sign up for as many weeks as needed. Care is from 7am-5:30pm so it's ideal for working parents. They go on field trips everyweek and go swimming 2-3 times per week. I've only heard great things about it!
