I am helping my sister plan my nephew's 1 year birthday party. His bithday is Sept. 19th, so we are cutting it close. Neither one of us have a large enough house, so we were looking into having it at a park. My sister tried one the parks by her home in Lockport. The location has a pavilion, bathrooms, and a playground..but it was, of course, booked. Does anybody have any other suggestions? She was also going to rent a big "bouncy" for the kids. There are so many forest preserves and parks in our area but we are not familiar with them, so any recommendations/suggessions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

HI--There is a forest preserve at 104th avenue and Rt. 83. I pass by there on the weekends and see that families have used it and I have seen several jumpies set up there, as well.

Hope it helps!

There is a great park with pavilion/fireplace/BBQ grills/rest rooms in Frankfort. I don't have the number, but the location is 80th Ave, just north of St. Francis Road. You can call the Frankfort Park District. Good Luck and I hope you have a great day!

HI...

I just went through this with my 14 month old for his first.

I rented a fabulous area. IT is through palos park and it is their village green. It is on 123rd st a couple blocks east of lagrange. They have a pavillion outside that you can rent, and you hace access (for free) to a sand volleyball court, tennis court, baseball diamond, basketball court and a park for the little ones! It was great! We had over 80 people there and it didnt seem like it at all. All th ekids were entertained with something. They have picnic tables too....you just have to tell them how many you want. We just brought every different kind of ball, bags for the adults, etc and it was fun!
Check it out!

If you want more info...email me! Good luck and congrats!

My sister rented a pavillion at one of the Oak Lawn parks a few years back. Also, if you're looking for a company to rent a jumpy from, we always use Jump for Joy. Their phone is ###-###-####. They are friends of ours and are very reliable. If renting at a park they also have generators available. Hope this helps and good luck.
