Ok. I know I posted a thing about the risks going up with having more c-sections. But this question kinda relate to it. Anyway I was told after my last child that I should wait AT LEAST 3 years before having anymore kids.I had 3 c-sections and I guess after the 3rd he said something about getting thin? I don't know what to think b/c the whole pregnancy he wanted me to get my tubes tied and I refuse b/c i Was to young(at 23 at the time) I ask him if they had any medical problems that showing that I need it done and he said no. Do you think in November trying again will push it? Thats about 7 months early? My son Just made 2 in June. We want another child but i'm afraid something will happened.Do you think its safe to try at least 7 months early or do you think I should wait til next June before trying? Or get a dr to check me out first? Please let me know. Thanks!! :)

What can I do next?

With c-sections... the Doctor makes the incision, on the previous incision.... or close to it. It depends on the Doctor and your condition.
That is my understanding.
The body (internally), after each c-section.... develops scar tissue etc.
The body, takes time to fully heal.
With subsequent c-sections, there is a recommended amount of times... that is a threshold. After that, it can become, risky.
That is my understanding.

I have had 2 c-sections.

You have had 3 c-sections.
Perhaps you should get a 2nd opinion, because you seem to want to get pregnant again. Despite.
But only your current doctor, would know your full health history and per your c-sections.

What did the Doctor mean by "getting thin???" Your body... or the incision area per your previous c-sections???????????????

You have 3 kids now?
And you want a 4th?

Be sure, you know fully, the consequences of repeated c-sections... and the subsequent risks involved... with having more c-sections.
AND if your Doctor tells you about the risks.... then you have to decide what impact that may have on you/your life and per the pregnancy and the baby.

Ultimately, you HAVE TO consult with your Doctor. And get all the facts and risks involved. Before you try and get pregnant.
That is common sense.

How many c-sections a woman has or can have... also depends on the internal scar tissue... of the woman.

Your doctor would be the best person to help you make that decision. None of us would know enough about your particular case to advise you. Good luck!

The "thin" he was talking about might have been your uterus. I have heard many friends say the Dr told them their uterus was very thin and would be a problem if they continued to have more children. Its been stretched a lot in a short time, and maybe his feeling is it will help to heal and be stronger if you wait. Also your body needs time to recoup the minerals and neutrients and strength to sustain another pregnancy so the next baby can be healthy and have all the benefits of a strong mommy.

I think it is fine, by the time you get pregnant, get big enough to worry about the pressure, etc, it will be enough time passed. I had heard your body needed a year to recoup but I am not sure about the lining inside. Be aware though that the more pregnancies you have the harder it is on your body and you may end up needing surgery to do repairs later.

I really think you need a second medical opinion--not opinions of other women here. Good luck.

If you are concerned that your doctor is not giving you advice based on medical necessity (I'm assuming this because of your question to him about whether there is a need for getting your tubes tied), the best thing you could do is seek out a second opinion, preferably from a doctor who is experienced in dealing with moms who have had multiple c-sections. From my experience, once a doctor lets their personal opinions get in the way of professional advice, it damages the ability to trust them to do/say the right thing. I know this doesn't answer your original question, but I think it's good to get advice from someone who knows what he's talking about who doesn't necessarily have an "agenda" when it comes to something as high stakes as the lives of yourself and a child.
