I would like to get a camera I can attach to my laptop computer so I can use video phone calling and other things. I have one but it's meant to be stuck to one place. I'd like one I can clip on to the laptop and remove when not using it.

What can I do next?

Hi! My name is A. and I purchased my camera for similar reasons as you. I got an inexpensive Philips PC camera. I got it at wal-mart for less than 10 dollars. it plugs into a usb and has a clip on the base. The base has a 'socket' joint so you can also rotate the camera in any direction. pretty neat for a cheapo. lol

hope this helps

We also have the Logitech quickcam pro 9000 and LOVE it. WE have tried many others and this has been the best by far. It clips to the top of the screen and easily detaches. We got ours from Staples. Good Luck!

Hi M.,

I recommend the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. It's great and gets really wonderful reviews - excellent video quality, built-in microphone, easy set up. It also clips on to the laptop and is easily removable when not in use. You can check it out on Amazon.com or research it online.

Hope that helps!

My daughter purchased her webcam from Wal-Mart earlier this month. The only problem she seems to have with it is the program her friends use to chat has about a 5 second lag time built in to it. Wal-Mart has many different models of webcams in a range of prices.
You can also check out Consumer Affairs on-line for more specific information about any camera before you spend the money for one.

I got a Logitech at Walmart for less than $25 a year ago. I use it about 1x week to call my parents so they can see how thier grandchild is growing! It clips right to the top of my laptop and plugs in and came with a little storage bag when not in use. It hinges up/down for height, but you just have to play around with it at first to center yourself. Very good investment for the $$!
