Mommy Santa would like to get a child's (inexpensive or moderately priced) digital camera for my 4 year old. It needs to be able to hold a few photos and contain (or have the capability to hold) a memory card so we can transfer the photos to our computer, etc. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

Go buy a child's camera in the toy department.
You can find them at walmart.
My 10 yr. Old doesn't even have a digital camera !

We have the Fisher Price camera now and it is pretty good.

BUT I just bought the V-Tech KidZoom for my 3 & 5 year olds because it holds more pictures and can do short videos. They have a special package that includes a case (with a strap) for the camera for the same price as just the camera (49.99).

I wish we had waited a year to buy a camera. Although there is nothing wrong with the Fisher Price it holds a lot less pictures and does less than the new ones coming out for the same (or less) price.

They have the Disney digitals at Wal Mart for about $20... A friend got one for her 6 year old and it was actually pretty decent... Easy to use and the girl loved the disney theme.... Good luck!

I found a Crayola brand digital camera at Walmart in the camera section for my 3 year old. It looks really cool. It does all the camera stuff and also has some games on it that you can do with the pictures like put together a puzzle.
It cost about 39 dollars plus tax.
Here is a link to check it out: http://www.crayola.com/products/splash/additional/consume...

V-Tech Kidizoom camera is what we have gotten our almost 3 year old. It cost about $60 but after checking reviews on Amazon.com it was the best by far. You can also check the photo department at Walmart for cheaper digital cameras but this one is the best. Good Luck!

Try the V-Tech Kidizoom camera...it has lots of great features - takes pics and video, has photo editing features, cable to connect to TV or computer and right now you can find them on sale with the camera case for really resonable. I looked at this one and the Fisher Price version and this one is by far superior! Just don't expect high resolution pics with this camera!

I recommend the Fisher-Price Kid Tough Digital Camera. My 5 year old got one of these for Christmas last year from my husband's best friend (who is a career photographer). It is capable of taking a card, and you can plug in and transfer photos to your computer. The casing is made of a hard rubbery plastic, so it is virtually indestructable! My son loves it.
