Need New Umbrella Stroller and Regular Stroller with HUGE Basket

Hi Mamas! I will be traveling with my 18 month old and need an umbrella stroller with a HUGE basket underneath. The basket is the most important thing to me! Any recommendations?

We also need a regular stroller that is lightweight, but will drive through grass at baseball and soccer games. It also needs a HUGE basket a tray. I'd prefer if it didn't fold onto the tray (the tray on the stroller I have now scratched up from folding it on concrete and its actually sharp in spots) Cost is not a huge issue, but I don't want to pay for "just a name".

Any suggestions for either stroller? Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

I don't really have a umbrella stroller recommendations that has a big enough basket for traveling. We like our Peg Perego Si, which you could use for both. We've taken that stroller all over the world and all different terrains and it did fine. I bought a organizer that straps onto the handles of the stroller and it worked out really well. I got one that holds 2 drinks, a small pocket for keys, phone, etc. It also has a bigger pocket for diapers, toys, snacks, etc. They are at Babies R Us and range from $14.99 to $24.99.

We have both a Chicco travel system and umbrella stroller. The baskets are of pretty good size. The umbrella stroller "basket" actually converts into a backpack if you'd like to fill it to true capacity. The stroller that is part of our travel system (I believe it is sold separately) folds into a standing position, so it doesn't lay flat on the floor. The tray has a cup holder, too, which is nice. It is easy to navigate and steer in different terrain. Both fold very easily, one handed for both. We are expecting our second baby and are planning on buying the new Chicco double stroller for many of these reasons. They are simple, easy to use, products. And their customer service is phenomenal. (They've replaced parts free of charge when it was no fault of theirs.)

Phil and Ted has the best stroller. Trust me you will love it! Plus, if you have another baby, it converts to a double easily. There is a big basket underneath. It is not a true umbrella stroller I know but it folds up flat, is lightweight, is more maneuverable than any jogger I've seen or used. If it is too much, check on eBay. I got mine there in excellent condition for half the price.

We had a very lightweight, compact stroller that had all the bells and whistles of a larger stroller. It was a BabyTrend Passport. It is not an umbrella stroller, so if you specifically need a stroller that folds up like an umbrella, then this won't work. But if you don't need it to fold up like an umbrella stroller, but just need a lightweight stroller that folds compactly, this one is really nice and might work for both of your scenarios. It has a parent tray with cup holders, a child tray that comes completely off, so no scratching when you fold the stroller, and it has a reasonably big basket for a lightweight stroller that you can actually get to. I've never seen a bigger basket on a lightweight. I used this stroller with my son way after he had exceeded the weight limit, and it still functioned well. We bought ours at Toys-r-Us, but on their website, they say it can be purchased at Baby Depot (Burlington.) It's pretty inexpensive, too, which is a plus, but excellent quality for the price.
