Need Marriage Counselor (Preferably North Dallas)

I would highly recommend taking the Dynamic Marriage class that our church offers twice a year (there's one starting in Sept). You can read a little about it here:

My husband and I went through it a couple of years ago and it was well worth our time. During our class we had two separate couples that had already divorced, but were considering reconciling, and both ended up remarrying shortly after the class ended. (And in one of these couples, one partner had no real interest in reconciling, but agreed to come anyway, so it was especially amazing.)

It's a lot of work, but if you do it, it pays off. I recommended the class to another friend of mine; she said it did more good for her marriage than any one of the number of counselors they had seen.

Just wanted to throw that out as another option.

I would recommend Dr. Maryanne Watson. She is a licensed psychologist. Her office is located in Plano off of Plano Parkway between Preston and the Tollway. The best conselor I know is my pastor. Randy Speed, River of Glory Church in Plano. I've know Randy and his wife Carol since I was 13. He married us 6 years ago. He is so down to earth and does not want to see people truggle with their marraige. He will sit down with you and figur out what the cause is to all the arguing and help both of you to see where you went wrong in the relationship and give you excitment again. He will guide you to finding your love for each other. He's great.

hi mary let me just start by telling you my husband and i went to a counselor about 5 yrs ago and he didn't want to go at first. my sister in law had recommended barbara kee from our church and let me tell you she is the most wise amazing christian woman i know! she won't push her beliefs on you so don't worry but she will hold everyone accountable for they're part of the problem but in a gentl kind and loving way. she really gave my husband and i alot of tools to be able to communicate better so we could resolve the issues we had. i can't urge you enough to go see her. even though my husband was very adamant about not seeing a woman councelor he soon felt conviction enough that our marriage would be over if he didn't start going with me and i knew deep down he did not want a divorce. by the way she does have her doctorat in phsychology she is very professional but very loving. she truly wants to see marriages survive and be the best they can be. i encourage you to contact her she is off of spring valley and 75 her phone # is ###-###-#### you can tell her if you want that A.(pronounced ah-may,it's french) S. my husbands name is shawn.
