Need Ideas on Planning a 3Yr Old's Birthday Party That Is Easy Set-up & Clean-up

I am not sure where it says every year you have to have a birthday party for your kids, he is 3 yrs old, buy him a small cake, wrap some presents, take him & one friends to chuckie cheese let them play, thats it... are you going to feel bad .. well neither is your son. I had a one yr b-day then a 3 yr old then a five yrs old then a 8 yr old then a 13 yr old a 16 yr old she is 17 for 18 we are going to hawaii, she never complained about not having a birthday party,

I'm a big fan of My Gym. I don't know where you're located, but the Long Beach location is fabulous. You provide the cake (and other food, if desired) and they do all the rest. You've got the whole place just to your party and they treat the birthday child like a king/queen. They can accommodate 30 kids, but it's for the kids and not the adults. I don't think they could accommodate all the adults, but I may be wrong. It's my favorite birthday venue.

IT really depends where you live. I just set the date at a local park for my son's 4th b-day in Nov. The Park is 35 hr in Lakewood and this particular park has a kitchen-BBQ whole sound system-the whole park will be ours-f you live in Lakewood I can tell you more

it's a little pricier but you could have it catered at the Santa Ana Zoo. they also have the option to bring your own food but then you're back to set up / clean up.

Try the bowling alley nearest your home. They have small weighted balls for the kids and bumpers they also give the birthday child their own bowling pin.. They usually have different priced plans... And those adults that want to play a game can too... and the bowling alley usually does the clean up

I'm not sure where you live, but some community centers will help with parties. My friend just recently had her daughter's bday at the Yorba L., CA Community Center where they did tons of arts and crafts with kids of all age groups - really neat and she said it was very inexpensive. Also, there is a place in Placentia (I think it is called Fun House - not quite sure), but you can rent a room and they have JUMBO-SIZE jumpers as well as a few arcade games. Kids always have a blast there (some adults do also). The cost is on a per head basis and there is absolutely no clean-up.

You bring your own food to serve. My friend did it this way.

I also had my child's birthday there BUT I didn't do the birthday package. I rented 9 tables (I had a BIG guest list) from them for just $5 for table for the entire day (10am to 4pm) so $45 total and then paid $1 per person for admission. They keep track of it at the gate. It is the cutest, gated park. Our theme was firetruck and we actually had a firetruck come to take everyone on rides throughout the local area but ANY theme or non theme is wonderful and as you can see, you can actually do a fairly inexpensive party at this park. You will not be disappointed. We also took a water table with us and filled it with bubble solution and bought 6-8 large wands for bubble fun. We had a parachute and did parachute games and had the kids bring costumes (a fun way to get another use from those Halloween costumes)that they changed into for a fun costume parade (b.day child leads!) and there is a wooden "stage" in the park as well as MANY unique slides, swings, etc.. It's just a FUN park to play at ANYDAY!!!
