Need Help with Dress Idea for Fashion Show

Maybe you could do big blocks of color. Do the bodice in one color and make the skirt with a wide stripe(2/3rds) in one of the colors and the other 1/3 of the skirt in the other color. Then you have the neopolitan stripes. the shoes could match the bottom layer's color.

Or, you could do the bodice one color and the skirt another, and put pockets or a sash on it in the third color.

If you want an ice cream cone hat, maybe you could get a wizard hat pattern at joann or somewhere (harry potter patterns maybe) and just use the colors that you have instead of what they recommend.

i love where you are going with that it sounds real cute maybe do a old school pill box style hat witch is a basic box shape perfect for the pink white and brown stripe like a slice of ice cream then tie it on with a pretty pink bow

We make lots of costumes for a theatre group my kids work with. You could use strofoam and you can paint it to match for the hat a piece of elastic under the chin will keep it secure.......someone suggested spoons on the shoes which is a great idea or she can hold a spoon and have a dish of Neopolitan Ice Cream that she walks with to keep the theme. I think you have a great idea going!

I would do a hula girl like a luau look Flower in her hair, a lei, flip flops/sandals and a Hawaiian flowered dress would be cute I wouldn't do something that was too Halloweeny

It sounds like you have a great idea! But I would also go with maybe brown shoes (the ice cream cone), and on top of the sundae hat, a red ball of some sort (the cherry)! Good luck and have fun!

What about turning to literature for your inspiration of a theme?

Laura Ingalls? Anne of Green Gables? Nancy Drew?

If you went far enough back you could go with the style from a certian time period. The 1800's, Turn of the Century (1900's), The Roaring 20's, the 50's (I'm thinking poodle skirts), The 70's.

You could also go the holiday route, a red or dark green Christmas dress, an Easter dress (satin and lace), a Valentines (red velvet) dress?

I LOVE the idea that you have so far! Maybe a white beret style hat with a red felt "cherry" pom-pom on top and white shoes with a little silver spoon on the toe of each? And white gloves. Have fun!
