Ok ladies .... I had my daughter in January of 2008 and nursed up until July of 2008. In July I also started my Depo shot. So since before conceiving my daughter, I have not had a menstral period. I was on some antibiotic that both the doctor and pharmacy warned me would lower the effectiveness. This is ok because I wasn't planning on return for the shot so we could start the next baby process.

My question is how soon is it possible to get pregnant and have it show on a test? I have felt funny and been eating NONSTOP for the last few days.

If anyone out there could help .... it's much appriciated ! ! ! ! ! !

Do you think you know when you ovulated OR do you know when you had intercourse with your partner that could have possibly been the conception event? Without having a menstrual period, you don't really have a lot of evidence so you may wish to wait at least 10 days from the 'time of sex' to test.

Or, if you just can't wait...buy a double pack and use one tomorrow morning and if it is negative then wait at least 10 days before testing again.

I was on the shot non-stop for a year straight. It took a year of being completely unprotected after I got off the shot before I conceived my daughter. I was probably 2 or 3 months along before I even felt different enough to take a pregnancy test. BUT, when my daughter was two months old I had one normal period after she was born, and then nothing. So I went ahead and took a test and sure enough I was pregnant again. I was probably 3 weeks along at that point. Needless to say, my kids are 11 months apart in age lol. As far as how soon you can take a test and get actual results, I guess it just depends on your body and how high your HGC levels are at the time.

You will usually show up positive on a pregnancy test between 10-14 days after you ovulate.

Usually though, Depo Provera results in a delayed return to fertility.

Also, very few antibiotics result in decreased effectiveness of oral birth control- mostly the one used for TB. They would not reduce the effectiveness of Deop-Provera because it is not processed through the digestive system. Not sure why they gave you info that is outdated at best in the case of oral pills and inaccurate in the case of Depo.
