Hey does anyone have remedy or know of a product that will remove crayon fromclothes that have dried in the dryer. I checked my daughters' pockets before I put their clothes in the wash, however I must've missed a small piece of a brown crayon somewhere. I opened the dryer and ALL of my daughters school uniforms are decorated with brown spots. Help...
oh boy I had this problem, my daughter's crayons goobered a load of mostly MY clothes! In the end the solution was 2-part & very labor intensive, but it worked - 1 use lighter fluid to get the wax out, it will leave the color but does get the wax out. 2- scrub with a plain old bar of Ivory soap. It works, but it takes time & elbow grease.

On May 8, 2007, I posted the exact same problem - mine was red crayon and it was literally on everything. I got a lot of advice, some complex some simple. BUT what actually worked was this: I did a search and found a bunch of people on other sites recommended the following:
1 capful Tide Cold Water, 1 cup Spray and Wash, and wash in hot water on the heavy soil setting. I also threw in a scoop of OxyClean for good measure.
Well, it worked! I washed once, noticed a huge difference, washed again and I can only find 5-6 spots total and 4 of them are on socks - Who Cares?!
I am a believer in this method because it was easy - some advice called for scrubbing each spot, but the crayon was everywhere - and it worked. Good luck!
My suggestion works with getting candle wax out, so might work for crayons: put a papertowel over the crayon spot. Then put a bath towel over the papertowel. Then on low heat use your iron and carefully go over the bath towel. The crayon should melt and stick to the papertowel, but like I said I've only done this with wax, so I would try a small spot first. Good luck!
You could try the Carbona Stain Devil for Crayon. I've used the one for rust before and it worked great but that was before I washed the garment.

Try woolite oxyclean pet stain remover. I may not have the order of the name correct but the product is located in the carpet cleaning section of stores. Usually in a gray bottle with a blue label. I used it to remove crayon marks from walls, carpet and clothes. I hope it works miracles for you as well.
There is a product call KRUD KUTTER and it works great on everything. I never used it on the clothes but it takes nail polish and red cool aid out of the carpet. This stuff is a God send. Good luck!!!
PS the bottle says it's for clothes as well. I bought mine at Sears Hardware don't know if all stores carry it, it might be wise to phone first to make sure the store carries it so you don't waste your time.

Try Oxi Clean Max Force laundry stain remover. It works really good on dried stains. You can buy it just about anywhere..walmart, Jewel etc. It comes in a blue bottle with red spray top. Good Luck!
This just happened to my sister-in-law and she said she used a spot remover to get the crayon out.
