Does anyone know of any vets that are good but yet affordable. We have a Miniture Schnazer that we love, we are looking to get her routine care but something that we can afford. We are located in Grand Prairie off of 360 and Arkansas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

We take our dog to the Banfield clinic in the Petsmart store on I-20 and Great Southwest.
They actually have a "pet insurance" plan that has saved us tons of money and allowed us to give our pet premium healthcare.
They have different plans to choose from, with different levels of cost and service provisions.
We payed a one-time membership fee, and then make small monthly payements for the plan.
It's worth checking into. The doctor and staff there are so friendly and caring. Your pet will get great care.

Hope this helps.

I live at 303 and 360, and I use Arkansas-Browning Animal Clinic. It is at the corner of Arkansas and Browning in Arlington, shouldn't be too far from you. The phone number is ###-###-####. There are 3 vets there, I like to schedule with Dr. Alice Lippitt when I can. The others are very nice but she is my favorite.

They also sponsor a low cost vaccination clinic on Tuesdays from 6-8pm and Sundays from 4-6pm at the Dog Wash in Arlington, at I-20 and Green Oaks. I use the shot clinic and take them into the office for routine exams and when necessary.

Good luck!

I dont' have a suggestion for you, but I just wanted to let you know you couldn't have picked a better breed for your kids and family. I had a mini schnauzer for many years and had to have him put down last year at the age of 16--he was a loyal, faithful companion to all of us. Good luck on finding a great vet for your "fur baby" and make sure you do 2 very important things other than the annual vaccinations--
1. Give heartworm preventative faithfully every month.
2. Have her teeth professionally cleaned every year--it makes a huge difference in the dog's health.

I have been taking my animals to the same vet for over 20 years. The clinic name is Polo Road Animal hospital, the vet is Phil James. They are absolutely wonderful and their prices are very good. I live in East Fort Worth now and still drive to Grand Prairie to see him. The phone number is ###-###-####. They are located on Polo Road which runs east/west and is just south of I-20 and carrier.
