Need Allergy/ Asthma Dr. Recommendation in NE Tarrant Area

It has been 2 weeks sincer her "diagnosis" & her breathing has been fine, but we went to a friend's house yesterday w/ a cat, bird & pollen haven & it sent her into an asthma fit again! So far Singular & Zyrtec seem to be doing very little for my 4 year old & we've done the nebulizer w/ Albuterol every 4-6 hours today, but she is still having mild- moderate difficulty breathing...So, I'm thinking it's definitely time to hit the specialist. I'm afraid it may take some time to get in to one, so my plan is to start calling & go with who ever can see her first tomorrow!! I'm starting with Tanna. Any other recommendations would be great. I'd love to stay in the G'vine, HEB area, but would also go DT Ft. Worth...or really to the moon & back for my baby, but preferably not Dallas! ;)

What can I do next?

If you want to travel to southern Flower Mound:

I recommend Family Allergy & Asthma Care ###-###-####. They are located near Flower Mound HS and Lifetime Fitness. (near FM 2499 and FM 1171) Dr. Hudelson, Dr. Fitzgerald, and Dr. Barnett (all females) are the doctors there. We see Dr. Barnett. She is the pediatric allergy specialist, but I know many others that take their children to the other doctors too.

My daughter is on Advair HFA as needed for her asthma. Xopenex HFA is her emergency inhaler. She also takes Allegra and Flonase daily.

My son is on Flovent daily for his asthma. Xopenex HFA is also is emergency inhaler. He takes Clarinex and Nasonex daily.

Both children have allergy-induced asthma. My son is worse off than my daughter. He is on a daily maintenance medicine (Flovent) for that reason.

We are really happy with this office. We never feel rushed. Do plan on your first visit lasting a long time!

Best of luck to you!

I have been seeing a ENT Specialist in Southlake and he is AWESOME! His name is Dr. Robert Owens (or Dr. Bob) and he is with Owens Ear Center. He is also a surgeon and he is really great. He's good with kids and very friendly and easy to talk to. Their address is 190 S. Peytonville Rd. Suite 110, Southlake, TX 76092 and their phone number is ###-###-####. It is right off of 1709. They also have an office in Dallas. The staff is very friendly as well and I get in and out pretty quickly which is important with kids! Good luck and hope this helps!

Southlake, Texas Reginal Allergist Ass.

My allergist is awesome. He is in W. Fort Worth off of Hwy 183 and Crosslands Rd (just North of Bryant-Irvin Rd). I know that is a drive for you, but I bet he can get you in very quickly. His name is Dr. Bob Lanier. Check out his website at www.askdrbob.com Good luck to you and I would suggest that if you can't get in today, go to the ER or a minor emergency. Perhaps with their referal you could get in sooner.

My daughter has seen Dr. Tanna for the past two years and he has been great, he even has saturday appointments and you can go to Ft. Worth or Bedford location.
