Hello, I have been on Mamasource a lot these past weeks. So first off, thank you ladies for all your great advice and support!
My new situation is that I have been asked to teach University one day a week, some thing I do not want to turn down! SO I am in the position of needed to find a Nanny for only one day a week. I have posted an ad on craigs list, but so far I am not happy with the quality of responses I am getting.

Our little guy was a preemie, and is currently 4 months adjusted age. But he can still be a handful, so I can not just leave him any sitter.

I a new mom and new to this area, so I have no idea where to look outside of craigs list.
I appreciate all your help!

PS We live right down town.

What can I do next?

I also used sittercity.com to find my 2 days/week nanny. I had a lot of people respond to my add.

Nannies4hire.com is also a great resource to find a part-time nanny. There is a free search available prior to registration and the search is very simple.

Place an ad in the Polish newspaper for a nanny. Or try sittercity.com. There are also nanny services (google them) that will do background checks, etc for you.

sittercity.com . It is worth the fee. That is where we found ours for 2 days a week.

I second the other gal that putting an ad in a Polish newspaper will guarantee you results!! I once put an ad for a babysitter, and I got so many calls that I lost track after a while!!!

I used www.helpersabove.com to find a nanny for myself, and my friend had also used them. It's a great site and the nannies are excellent. Colleen Finnegan leads this site and she is wonderful and personable.

Good luck!
