Need Advice on Teacher Gift

I am a certified lash extension stylist (yes - we do exist!)Recently I was chatting with a teacher friend of mine and she mentioned last year her class gave her a gift certificate for a pedicure. She said it was the best gift she had ever received. Then last night I met with my son's 3rd grade teacher and noticed her lashes looked TERRIBLE with caked black mascara on her very fair lashes. So I was thinking maybe my son could give her one of my gift certificates for a set of lashes instead of the standard "worlds best teacher" tree ornament or coffee mug. Would this be too presumptuous? She is 30 and very hip but I'm not sure if this goes against parent/teacher ethics. I don't want to look like I'm trying to buy my son favors (extensions can be pretty expensive). But she has been very helpful with him and I don't mind treating her for the holidays. I just don't want to come off as tacky. Any opinions would be much appreciated!

I am a teacher, and I would love any gift that lets me get pampered that I don't have to pay for!! If she is young and hip she will likely not be offended, just excited. Very thoughtful of you!!

I say go for it. I am a teacher and have in the past recieved massages from massage therapist parents, reki, reflexology, gift certificates with an added 20% off at a store owned by a parent and a hair cut! She will love it!

I'd say give her the gift of beauty. You are a professional offering professional services. It wouldn't be tacky to give a gift from your place of business.
